I wrote a 120 word garden column for a year. Too bad that, aside from the giant mutant insects on my tomatoes, little of it was science fiction.

I'm not much of a writer but I loveto read.
I love Sci-Fi, but I would have never considered writing a story in that genre myself. But, hey - 100 words might work for me. Thanks, Kay, count me in.
Is there a deadline? With the way my luck is running these days I would write the shortie and miss the deadline. ;o)

I'm finding the stories Willy Nilly, kay..... I think we have to make the first "post to" group "genre shorties" or they might get lost in cyberland. I already read a few Much Fun ones,yay!

I think all I have to do is add genre to my FAV group list, then each post will pop up, kay...
It's really difficult to find things in the feeds these days. It's probably easier just to read them at the group.

Out of the ally, He crawled. He could smell the fear just rolling off the young couple, as He moved closer. As they transitioned, further away from the street lamp. He leapt. Tackling the man first, who instinctively withdrew, from the shadow of the darkness. The man leapt back, too slow, for this unknown creature.
His woman screamed, silently, her mouth a gaping O. Her feet practically glued to the sidewalk, she was unable to run away. As the shadow drew nearer, she cringed, shivered, her last thought, was even if she did survive this, no body would believe her.
