kids made me waffles with strawberries and whipped cream (from frozen - all of which they had my sister buy for them so they could do this for me - but I had to set up the coffee and slice the strawberries for them :)

My day started out very nicely, I actually slept in. Didn't get out of bed until 8 am which is way late for me. Hubby made breakfast and I'm just going to take the day 'off'. He's fixing lunch and dinner. I got some beautiful cards and a wonderful little box of Ferrero Rondnoirs all for me!!

Since yesterday was my 60th b-day and there's a raging fire going on in Santa Barbara, I got calls all day from 6:30 in the morning until late at night as well as emails and well-wishes - it was busy - I've had parties since May 1...so today - on Mother's Day - the hub gave me the cake he forgot to take out of the fridge last night! He says its my Mothers Day Cake but guess what...it's my Gatherversary Cake - hahaha....yes - so on this day I celebrate bunches of stuff. Yall have a good one. Buy yourself flowers if they all forget and bake a cake too. Salud

This is not a very Happy day for our family as wwe just buried my father on Thursday. We also lost my mom 3 years ago so right now we are just more like zombies around here. But my youngest daughter did remember to buy me a very beautiful card.

J, thanks for asking - yes, I am safe thanks to the prayers of many...our home is ok too - since I twitter with Oprah who lives in the hills behind me, I know the winds have died down. I left town and so glad I did as my housesitter says the smoke is terrible. Not a good place to be for many. Thank you J...I'm safe. Thank yall. Yes, the cake - he bought it at the store and decorated it himself but forgot to bring it out last night....senile huh? I got flowers and A card from my son well the flowers were from both my kids this is actually the first time I have gotten anything from them besides what they made in school but they are both young I dont exspect to get anything so when I found out I was getting somethign I was pretty excited!!
