Daily Whine & Shine - Wednesday, October 14, 2009
by Marilyn Mackenzie
Whether you agree with the concept or not, everyone needs to be able to vent from time to time. That's especially true if you're one of the many who suffer from an invisible illness. We have whines and rants about pains, medical professionals and prescriptions, just to name a few. Perhaps our families listen; perhaps they don't. Even if they do, they get tired of our complaining, even if they claim to understand our struggles. Or if they don't get tired of our "negative energy" we think they do or will.
Do you need to rant about something? Tell us about it.
Do you have some celebration or victory you need to share? This is the place.
What's happening in your world today? Are you grumpy about something? Or so angry you could spit? Tell it here. Here at the Daily Whine & Shine, it's acceptable to rant, vent, complain, stomp your feet, throw a tantrum, and shout, "Oh shuckie darn!"
Wait! Don't go away! Do you have some good news to share? Great. This is the place for that as well. If you're celebrating, dancing, and yelling, "Yippee Skippy!" please share. Sometimes knowing about someone else's happiness gives us a bit of hope for ourselves.
Whether you're shouting, "Oh shuckie darn!" or yelling, "Yippee skippy!" - this is the place to be. Pull up a rocking chair, and let's talk about it.
Now, let's celebrate!!!

Food for thought:
We hang petty theives and appoint the great ones to public office. ~ Aesop
Those who seek absolute power, even though they seek it to do what they regard as good, are simply demanding the right to enforce their own version of heaven on earth. And let me remind you, they are the very ones who always create the most hellish tyrannies. Absolute power does corrupt, and those who seek it must be suspect and must be opposed. ~ Barry Goldwater
If we get a government that reflects more of what this country is really about, we can turn the century -- and the economy -- around. ~ Bella Abzug
The only sure bulwark of continuing liberty is a government strong enough to protect the interests of the people, and a people strong enough and well enough informed to maintain its sovereign control over the government. ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

otherwise...I'm heading back in to sew on quilts here soon...I only have 2 more months to make my goal of what I want done for Christmas!
Hubby just can't seem to do the shopping himself, and he really doesn't want to be left with the baby. Last night we needed coffee and kerosene for my husbands heater and it was late. I pumped some milk and ran to the corner store. When I got home husband was flustered and baby was screaming. I asked if he had offered her any of the milk - no. He didn't dare feed her because that would have meant he would have to pick her up and burp her. He is so scared of breaking her, lol. He asked me last week how long Robbie was like this. He finds this stage boring and he doesn't really like to hold the baby because of the floppy neck.
A friend from church brought dinner last night and she found that she doesn't live that far from us. She offered her help anytime I need her, which was nice.
my all time favorite.....
teeheehee..
we 'bald guys' deserve or at least need 2 days don't we ? ? ?
