Tonight for my supper I made my own "Nachos Supreme." I had leftover taco meat and fixings from the other night, so I had all the ingredients on hand. And this was much cheaper than getting them at a restaurant.
I started by putting Doritos on a cookie sheet, then topping them with leftover taco meat (which I heated up first) and shredded cheese:

Then I put them in the oven, at 350 degrees, until the cheese melted. I think it was about 10 minutes, but I didn't time it. They came out perfectly!

I added shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced black olives, sour cream and taco sauce.

About halfway through eating them, I realized I made WAY too much, and couldn't finish. But they were delicious!!

They do look good!
Looks really good.
Yummy! Very tempting!! :)
Excellent! These would be great for the all-star game coming up!
It looks easy to make and yummy.
These are my favorites! You should have let me know what time they were being served.
Yummmmmm, I love Nachos. Thanks for posting to the cooks corner
To be honest, I never thought about using Doritos before. I bet that was really good that way. Yum, will have to try that next time.
That looks really yummy!
They look SO good. I went out with my parents and some friends tonight at a Mexican restaurant called Ricky's. I had the chicken nachos and they were sublime!
They look delicious!
They do look delicious to me!
Goodness Jodie, a friend just was talking to me about mexican food, and now I come across your post, and I'm ready to just go find an all night mexican place. Too bad we don't have any around here. Those look really yummy.
Yum! My son loves nachos. We had some today, but only with cheese. :)
They look really good too.
yummy!
Those sound pretty good to me.
looks good, don't like nacho's that much though, thanks for sharing..
Rich, filling, and finger-licking-good.... all at a budget price. Right on Jodie. Sometimes there's just nothing like a big plate of hot nachos to satiate the nacho fix! P.S. If you email Frito-Lay (the maker of Doritos) you may be able to get some in-store coupons on your next purchase (http://www.fritolay.com/about-us/contact-us.html). I scored with that $1 off coupon and a limited-time combo deal at Safeway for $1.99 for a big Doritos and two sodas!
Yum! I would have helped you eat the extra! :)
Looks great and you did a great job on this.
Oh, man. If I lived next door I would have come over and helped you eat these. YUM!
