Febreze extra buck deal for week of 7/5/09:
Spend $10 on products listed and get $5 extra bucks back. LIMIT 5 deals--that's a lot of Febreze.
These are the prices:
Febreze Candle $6.50
Febreze Noticeables $6.50
Febreze Air Effects $3
Febreze Fabric Refreshener $5
This Sunday's paper, July 5, has a Proctor and Gamble insert with coupons for Febreze.
I was looking on the internet to see how people were finding the cheapest way to use these coupons with this deal and I found these scenerios for those who may only have one or two papers worth of coupons. If you have more you can do even better on each transaction or you can do the same one more than once since the limit is 5.
In the scenerios below the abreviations:
ecb = extra care buck; wyb = when you buy
THANKS TO: MRSFLOYD OF HOT COUPON WORLD FOR THE FOLLOWING SCENERIOS.
with 1 newspaper only:
1 febreze noticeables 6.50
1 febreze air effects 3.00
1 febreze fabric refresher 5.00
= 14.50
use 1 4.00 noticeables coupon
use 1 3.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher coupon)
Pay $7.50
Get back $5 ECBs
net cost: $2.50 for $14.50 worth of stuff
with 2 newspapers you have a couple of possibilities:
2 newspaper scenario #1:
2 febreze noticeables 6.50x2 = 13.00
use 2x4.00 = 8.00 febreze noticeables coupons
pay $5
get back $5 ECBs
net cost: FREE for $13.00 worth of stuff
2 newspaper scenario #2:
2 febreze noticeables 6.50x2 = 13.00
1 febreze air effects 3.00
1 febreze fabric refresher 5.00
= 21.00
use 2x4.00 = 8.00 noticeables coupons
use 3.00 (free air effects wyb refresher) coupon
pay $10.00
get back $10.00 ECBs
net cost: FREE for $21.00 worth of stuff
(obviously this is better than scenario #1 b/c you get more stuff and it's still free)
2 newspaper scenario #3:
2 febreze noticeables 6.50x2 = 13.00
3 febreze air effects 3.00x3 = 9.00 (you're getting 3 b/c otherwise you will be just under $30 and will only get back $10 ECBs instead of $15 ECBs)
2 febreze fabric refreshers 5.00x2 = 10.00
= 32.00
use 2x4.00 = 8.00 noticeables coupon
use 2x3.00 = 6.00 (free air effects wyb fabric refresher coupon)
Pay $18.00
Get back $15 ECBs
net cost: $3.00 for $32.00 worth of stuff

good deals! Thanks for posting to Grocery Deals
Pretty cool! Thanks CLR.
That sounds pretty good. But, of course I am confused again. I started organizing coupons and I am going to go through them and then go shopping. We will see what I can end up with besides a confused head. I wish I could wrap my mind around this stuff.
Well, the febreze is an easy one because the coupons came out today. Can you print yet??
Oh, and ask questions if you need to--if it is something I can help with.
Each time you do it it will get easier; each mistake will help you not make two more in the future. Don't give up--it is confusing and takes awhile, and even if you don't save 100% of what you could you can maybe get at least 70% which is more than you were doing.
Hi C.L. yes I can print out on line coupons. I worked on the coupons and my list. This is what I have so far.
Dawn 2 for $2.00 - 20cent coupon -ECB $1.00
Fabrese 1 Noticeable $6.50 coupon $.4.00
1 Fabrese Fabric $5.00 - 1 free Air effects ECB on both $5.00
CVS tape 1.49 each limit 3 I will buy 3 ECB $4.47
Clairol Root Touch up $5.88 coupon $2.00
Olay Body wash 2 for $12.00 coupon $2.00 extra bucks $5.00
I am using $6.98 in ECB So I figured with coupons and the ECB out of pocket will be $17.67 but I should come home with ECB of $15.47. I really don't want that all on one receipt so I may try and split it into 2 orders. Is that what you would do or do you have any suggestions for me?
Carol, looks like you are getting it. I'm gonna go look this over better and give you any ideas if I have any. I am a hands on person--I do better with pen and paper with figuring than looking on the computer, so I will do that with your list and then reply again:)
Thanks C.L. I appreciate it.
Carol, since it is always my goal to have the least out of pocket (oop) one way to do yours would be three transactions.
When I figure it in one, like you did, I get $20.67 oop with $15.47 ecbs--somehow I come up with $3 more oop than you did. These three transactions would make it $10.20 oop and you would have $5 ecb left to start next week--you still "pay" a net $5.20, but it is more in ecbs and less in cash.
#1 Fabreze and use coupons and ecbs you have--oop .52
#2 Dawn & Tape and use $5 ecb from above--oop 1.27
#3 Clairol and Olay and use $4.47 and $1 from above--oop $8.41
There may be a better way to get it down more with more transactions, but I figured you wanted to keep it reasonable.
And just a quick adding it looks like you'd get about $39 worth of sale prices for $10.20 with $5 to put towards more deals in the future.
This is so fun! Let me know what you think and how it works--it always is frustrating to get there and have something out of stock and throws it for a loop, but once you get the hang of it it is easier to refigure on the spot.
The reason I asked about printing is I wondered if you saw the post I put on about Post Trail mix crunch--free after couons and extra bucks? It is here if not.
And I will be checking back as soon and often as I can in case you have any questions, but I am spending the day with my family so can sneak on here only every once in awhile:)
C.L. have fun with your family and don't worry about me. I may just take a run there and get something to start out with. I will check out the trail mix, thanks.
Thanks!
Thanks - good info as always.
Great brake down and a super deal--I love making baskets with Febreze and other house hold type items for new Brides and I have two gals getting married within the next month!!!!!
Great gift ideas! And what great timing on the gifts and this deal.
Are these coupons in todays inserts 7/5 or do they come out next week 7/12?
Today's insert. The only insert today is a proctor and gamble and they are in it.
Thank You, I was just wondering cuz it said it comes out 7/12 paper for the 7/12 week deals.
Okay, I'll look at that, too. I had forgotten to put the date on this post and went in an edited it and put the wrong date--I changed it again. Thanks for showing me.
Misty, I was really out of it when I did those posts apparently. All three posts I did this morning were for this week. I edited them all and put up a correction post for those who read them with the wrong dates here.
not a prob at all
Thanks
I'm excited about the Febreeze. Plus Nature Made vitamins are on sale B1G1F so if anyone wants to get SAM-e or any of their other vitamins, thats a good deal. I'm headed over there tomorrow to pick up the Triple Flex pills.
Jamie, do you do the Nature Made reward program and earn coupons for free vitamins?
Yes, I do. After you get 500 points with them you get a $7 coupon. Plus there is usually 2 or 3 coupons for like $1 off that you can print off. I usually try to just get Nature Made so I can collect the points.
awesome dear
This is awesome! Thanks for the heads up about the coupons. Hopefully I can get there today so I can also get the free tape!
Does anyone has CVS WEEKLY DEAL FLYER 07/12 - 07/18
