I cashed out for my first Gather card, a $10 CVS gift card. I am keeping track of how far it goes. I was hoping to get at least $100 in retail price--but I surpassed that in Chapter 5, so now I will just hope to make it last as long as possible.
I will use coupons, rain checks, sales and any extra bucks (instant CVS store rebates--show up as coupons on the bottom of the receipt) that I earn on purchases from this card. So here is today's trip. The CVS card goes shopping.
Today's Beginning Balance: $5.52 gc and $12.00, and 4.98 in extra bucks (June 28) TOTAL $22.50
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Last of the big spenders and deal finders today: all I bought was two bags of Lay's chips. They were on sale buy one get one free regular price of $3.99 each.
I paid with a free manufacturer's coupon for any one Lay's product. So subtotal was $3.99 less $3.99 coupon left tax only.
Total spent on gift card: $.08
New Balance: $5.44 gc, $12.00, $4.98 extra bucks:
Total left to spend: $22.42
Total Retail Purchased so far: $391.63
Can you tell this is my hobby? I love it. It gives me lots of necessary items for free and I even have leftovers to donate often. I actually have started a gather group so others can share their experiences and/or learn how to get the savings for themselves.

cool
I really enjoy reading these.
A free manufacturing coupon for any Lay's product? Do tell all C.L.
That is downright amazing. I haven't spend a dime with my CVS car I won from gather yet - but, I'm looking.
I almost put that in the post:)
I often email or call to compliment a company on their products and they often send out coupons and many times they are free. So I also decided I'd call when I have a problem. We had a bag of Fritos that we had a problem with and they sent a free coupon and one or two for $1 off any Lay's (saving those for .99 fritos at CVS).
So I knew I wanted to save that for the b1g1 deal that always shows up at CVS.
This is really amazing CLR. I sure love CVS, and you definitely know how to shop.
that is so awesome
WOW you did great as always!
How did you get the free Lays coupon?
I almost put that in the post:) Guess I should have.

I am gathering CVS gift cards too. Hopefully, I will follow your advice. Wish me luck
Ah, Timi, I do wish you well. Did you see the posts I put on about other internet sites with great help for CVSing? They are featured on the group homepage--there are three of them. If you really want to learn well and have time check them out.
I was wondering about the free Lay's coupon too.

Your trips are inspiring!
Thaks, JK, I hope to help others any way I can with these.
Aaaah, maybe someday I will be as good as you on saving at CVS. Great job!
Keep reading and thru much trial and error it will come:) you can be doing this in several weeks if the deals are there.
You Rock! We don't have a CVS here, but Rite Aid is similiar. :)
Carrie Marie, I saw a Rite Aid printable coupon on coupons.com today. I think it was $5 off of $15 or $25--in case you can use it.
You are so GOOD! All I got today was a one gig sandisk usb flash drive for 75% off which made it $5.00 so everyone use this and put your photos on it!
Wow--I'm going to have look for those. When CVS has clearance you can get some amazing prices. That is great!!
That is a good buy Norene.
Thanks Norene - I'll give our CVS a look for that.
I'm still totally in awe of what you've done here!! I really need to buckle down and focus on CVS deals more!
I find it takes me the least amount of time of all the ways of coupons I have tried and it keeps me stocked in all beauty items, almost all health and now Ihave been getting a lot of food with my increased extra bucks--like I always get my chips, cereal and juice there--saves tons on the grocery bill.
Thats awesome!
wow! that is really cool!
This is fabulous. Way to go.
wow great job
Think you might make it to $1,000!
This is Wonderful; Totally Amazing and Congrats"
:-D
Congratulations, enjoy it. Thanks for the posting.
Wow you are good. I finally have a $3 bucks back and a rain check for the 33.oz Folgers cofee, but they are always out. I think they intend to stay out. $5.99 plus I have 25 cent manufacturer coupon and the $3 bucks back would really make it cheap.Didnt see the chip offer. They dont send us the circulars often. Usually when we have only two days until the sale is over.
The next two weeks' circulars are posted on my group homepage featured items if you want to look at them (this week's, too).
You would get a good deal on the coffee. Maybe it is not a regular stock item but I thought it was. I hope it comes in before your bucks and coupon expire. There are some school supplies free after extra bucks the next two weeks--maybe you could use some of the pens or something and you could use your $3 bucks and get it back from those deals with a later expiration date on it.
You have a great 4th of July . Be safe if you are going to be on the road.
dang....you're good!!! :)
that is amazing! Great job!
I always like to read these posts by you!
I'm a member of your group. I'm going to have to watch your posts more closely. I haven't been getting any deals at CVS lately.
Dana, if you look at the homepage of the group there are featured posts and there are three about other websites that will help you get good deals--I found each to have its own little CVS speciallty. I hope to keep bringing great deals.
Upcoming free school supplies the next couple of weeks--two or three day sales only, though.
WTG! I enjoy following this
you are my new hero!!! fantastic way to s t r e t c h your money!! You are the Queen of stretching a dollar :-)
Thanks, Fran, it is fun to go each week and see what I can get for pennies.
Free chips is free chips!! GREAT job! Keep it up, we all LOVE it whenyou share with us!
I am amazed!
