Katie and I met this morning to go over the sales papers, make a run through the coupons, etc.... So this afternoon I hit a couple of stores....Krogers, then the base Commissary..... I LOVE BARGAINS!!!
Kroger was a lot of fun! Using these sites...
I was able to add a couple of great coupons to my Kroger card before I went.
Here's the run down of the Kroger deals....
Mulit-Grain Cheerios... on sale for $1.67/box... I bought 4 using 4 .50 coupons that doubled plus one .75 coupon from cellfire and one .75 coupon from shortcuts. Total cost was about .30 per box!!
Fruit Rollups were on sale for $1.79. I had coupons for $1/2 so I bought 4 boxes. These qualified for the $3/10 Daytona special so I got and additional .30 off on each box. Total paid was .99/box... not the best... but the register kicked out a catalina for $2.50!! In the end... it's like paying .35 a box! Sweet! (According to the catalina, buying 5 would have generated a $3.50 cat! I'll do it that way tomorrow when I go back!)
Hillshire Farm sliced meats (small boxes) are 10/$10... I debated on buying them (I didn't have a coupon!) but I couldnt' resiste going to check them out. I'm glad I did! The turkey ones have coupons on the inside for $1/3. I bought 4 packs at a buck a piece and I'll take the coupons back tomorrow to get them for .67/pack!
Pillsbury Grand Biscuits.. on sale for $1.49. I used a .25 coupon that doubled to .50 plus these are part of the Daytona deal so an additional .30 off each. The end price was .69 each.
Yoplait Yo-Plus yogurt... on sale 2/$4 ($2 each) used a $1 coupon plus loaded a coupon from cellfire onto my card... so FREE yogurt!
Dial hand soap... on sale for .88. Used a .35 coupon that doubled to .70... so .18 each.
Cottonelle TP... .99 for the 4-pack single rolls. Used a .50/2 coupon which doubled to $1 plus a cellfire coupon for .25.... so I spent .75 for BOTH packs.
Hunt's Manwich sauce. on sale for $1 each... used a .50/2 coupon that doubled to $1 plus it qualifies for the Daytona deal so an additional .30 per can... I paid .20 a can!
Freschetta Pizza-Amore is on sale this week for $4.99/each. I used a $1 coupon and got it for $3.99.
I also picked up strawberries (3-day sale price of $1.88) and some braeburn apples $1/pound.
My total was $28.70... after a savings of $46.57... so 63% Cha-Ching!
I spent much more at the Commissary... $84.94 to be exact... about $40 was meat (BL/SL chicken breast was $1.95/lb and 93% ground beef was $2.18/lb). The Commissary doesn't double coupons. My savings here was only $26.06 (24%) but considering almost half my bill was meat... I think that is still pretty good!
Kashi soft chew breakfast bars were $2.09 and I had $2 coupons.. so .09 a box!
Starkist tuna pouches were .79 and I used $1 coupons.. so I got PAID .21/package!
Glen Muir fire-roasted tomatoes... .99 and I used .75 coupons... so .24/can
Hunts Ketchup was marked down for quick sale... so .49/bottle... boy I WISH I had coupons for that!
Summer Sausage (1.5 pound size!) marked down to $1.75... snagged one for hubby-monster's Valentine's basket
Sunkist Creations Salmon.. $1.19 and I used a $1 coupon... so .19 a package.
SlimJims.... 16-pack for $2.30 and I had a .75 coupon. Boy were these a disappointment... they were sooooo tiny! I won't buy those again!
Snausages.. FREE using a coupon the manufacturer sent me.
Everything else was "normal stuff"... Nutella (almost never a coupon!), Kool-Aid, Soy Mild (out of coupons... darn), sugar, etc.
Cha-Ching!!!!
