For anyone considering the Microsoft Windows 7 Beta download, I would not advise doing it unless you have a spare computer to put it on that meets the minimum system requirements (check Microsoft website for that info). If you overwrite your OS with it and have problems, you could be in for a whole lot of headaches.
People I talk with (I'll try it shortly) talk about bare minimum being 2gHz+ Dual or QuadCore processor, 4GB RAM, 512 VRAM, and at least 20GB of disk space (this is just for the operating system -- drivers, applications, etc are all extra). While their recommendation assumes you will need some RAM to run applications, isn't that why we have computers?
You generally have to uninstall Betas to go to the full version, so the comment about putting on a spare computer (that you are going to reformat anyway) is a good one.
Personally, I am hoping Windows7 runs better than Vista (which does have some nice points). MS needs the reputational boost.
God Bless!
