Oooooooo I really love those pictures! Is that the true size or smaller for Gather? If you've got a larger version I'd LOVE it if you'd e-mail it to me!!! I promise I wouldn't use it for anything other my desktop!!!

Thank you! The colors were nice. The box was slightly mis-matched, but when I was opening it, there was some shattered glass in the box. I'm guessing the mis-matched one (one shiny silver one with white trees on it, the rest were vibrant rich colors in matte finish with glittery lines or dots on them) replaced the one that broke. But, for Goodwill, not bad. Boxes like that (9 ornaments) are typically $10+ at Target (where the box was from).

They are really nice Heather. Since last year was the first year that my own little family had a huge tree we only had few things to put on to start with. Then we got two huge boxes of things from a nice woman on freecycle. After Christmas I went crazy at Target, where I spent about 35 dollars I think. I am still amazed at all the stuff I got on 50 - 75 percent off, and I cannot wait to dig it out of the box.

Very pretty! Our "main" tree is red/silver, but I have an I Love Lucy tree and I like to use vibrant colors just like these to accent that tree!

Monica- it just takes some time and LOTS of pictures for even 1 nice one to turn out. When you have 20 minutes, just grab a camera, and take lots of pictures- close up, further away, from different angles, etc. I'm sure you'll have some lovely pictures afterwards!

I must say, you do have a knack with taking pictures of ornaments. I remember seeing your pics last year and it inspired me to try....I sucked at them. I will try at different angles and depths like you suggest.

I loved how the ones from last year turned out. That was my first try. I used a lot of different settings (I just have a point and click digital camera- the Flower setting worked great!).

I also noticed that when using the flash, being back further but using the zoom worked better than an actual closeup, because the flash creates hot spots on the ornaments- where it brightens almost to white.
