The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

Last week, I did a search on Christmas specials, and found the cartoon TV special of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas", so I set it to record. I have a few Christmas movies set to record as well.

I let Gilly watch this one over the weekend, but tonight, we had a 30 minute break before quite time (reading time alone in bedrooms- no TV) starts, so I put it on again. This is such a fun TV special!

When I was little, the Christmas specials were only shown once a year, usually the week of Christmas. I love being able to see them more often, but I think it takes the specialness off from them when you can buy them, or see them on TV 12 times each before Christmas.

For that reason, I pack my Christmas movies away every year, but I still love watching them!

Right after Thanksgiving we will start watching the Christmas DVDs
I can never find it in me to wait that long. I hope to have a few shows built up on my DVR, and do Christmas shows in the evening on Thanksgiving Day.

we have many Christmas DVDs and watch them throughout the year. (Yup, I'm a big kid at heart!! LOL)

we rent Netflix movies. I love to rent all kinds of Christmas movies, even the ones we already seen.

I just finished watching the Grinch. I watched it while I wrapped a few presents. I still have A LOT of presents left to wrap, though, so I will probably watch it a bunch more times. ;)

We only have one Christmas movie, and while Sky keeps asking to watch it Roshane does not want to watch it after Christmas.

I do wish we had cable, as I love some of the Christmas movies. We have a couple lesser known ones on DVD.

It's just doesn't feel like Christmas time if you miss the Grinch! Love this movie. :)

I agree that seeing holiday specials too frequently does take away from their specialness.

I like to buy them on DVD, store them all year, and bring them out about Octoberish...The Grinch as I recall was the one Christmas movie we were allowed to go to the school library to watch..Thats where I saw it

I love the cartoon one! Esp with the narrators deep voice. Actually there are few of the classic Christmas movies that I don't like!
