Magnificent. I actually slept through New Years (I think for the first time) but I woke up when the fireworks started here in Toronto. It took me a couple of seconds to figure out what was going on, then I saw the time was 12:01. I went RIGHT back to sleep.
so glad you posted these. I was hoping last night that the networks would show celebrations and fireworks from all over the world, particularly Australia, but they didn't nearly as much as I'd hoped.
Edinburgh's fireworks for Hogmanay were great. There was also an attempt to have the biggest group sing Auld Lang Syne... I'm sure they managed to make the Guiness Book of Records.
