I have tons and tons of pinecones from my mothers farm and was trying to decide what to do with them. After going thru my craft supplies it came to me, I could make mini Christmas trees!!
You just need:
hot glue gun
pinecones:

poms: They need to be fairly small ones.

felt and scissors:

pop bottle caps
and you can make your own!! Even small children can make this craft, just make sure to help them with the glue gun so they don't burn themselves. My daughter had so much fun helping me! I would put the glue on the pinecone then let her put the pom on herself! Then she also helped me with the glitter! We made a bit of a mess but had lots of fun, and well I think it is almost impossible NOT to make a mess when you are working with glitter anyways ;)
I also had some mini candy canes, and some white glitter and regular glue that I used on my trees, but you don't need that stuff to make them cute!
You could also use other things like little jingle bells, or really anything you can come up with to put on your trees! It is really up to you!
First I cut out squares of felt big enough to wrap my cap up. Then hot glued it on. Filled the inside of the cap with glue and stuck the pinecone in.
Then I started randomly placing poms on the pinecone till I thought it had enough! I would just stick a dot of hot glue then put my pom in place.

Then I topped my "Christmas tree" off with a big pom on top as the star.
Here is a pink one that I made for my sister who LOVES pink!
and again with the candy canes:

here is another angle so you can see the glitter or "snow" better

and a few more of my "Christmas trees"

Thanks for looking, and have fun if you decide to make this craft!!!

Those are adorable. My mom volunteers at the local school to teach art class a few times a week and they make these every year.
