Christmas cards-A nice thing to do PLEASE READ THROUGH FOR CORRECTIONS

I thought this was a nice thing to do so I'm passing it along. 

GREAT  IDEA!!     When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and

send it to this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these

wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.
 
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following: 

       JUST FOUND OUT:   Walter Reed Does Not Accept Cards For Soldiers  

Holiday Mail For Heroes
P.O. Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456


   Cards must be postmarked by December 10 , 2008.  Cards received after this date will be returned to senders.  For more information, please visit Redcross.org/holidaymail

This is not true they do not and can accept the cards for security reasons. See my article here

oh my gosh...so neat...I will do this as well!!
I have a few more addresses to send cards to both our wounded and deployed military personnel. I hope to get that article done tomorrow or tuesday for sure.

This is a great idea but there does seem to be some confusion. Perhaps we will hear differently soon.
I thought that they didn't accept the cards for soldiers but I needed to verify before I said anything. I do have a couple of addresses to send to. I hope to get that post out today.
