Every Christmas........

Every year I do this to myself!  I always try to balance out what I give my kids so that they get a somewhat equal amount of stuff.  Well, this year I felt like the little one had more so I bought the older one some more stuff.  I thought about it and now I think the older one has more.  Then I'll go back to thinking that the little one has more!  UGH.  I need to put together a list of what I've bought so far and see.  Do you do this?

Unfortunately, I do the same thing. I've got to sit down and make a list of what I got and what I need to get.

I used to..........now they are older it is gift cards or money. Kids are too complcated now!

I spent an equal amount of money on each one. With my kids being 6 years apart, the cost to buy what my oldest wanted increased so he had a lesser number of presents but he received items he asked for. My son was concerned one year that he had less and when I explained that I spent an equal amount of money on each of them he understood and it was never an issue again.

All my kids get now, and for the last few years, are gc's and/or some cash. Outside of a few wrapped gifts of socks, underware etc this is all they get and want.

Both of them still believe in Santa. I have my doubts about my oldest, but he claims to still believe! He has a pretty good understanding of how much things cost though so.......

I do it at least to some extent. But things are never completely even. It all comes out in the wash eventually

My wife and I decided from our first child that 'Santa' would get only one gift for each of our two children. Both of them are January babies so their birthday falls not too long after Christmas so we decided to get one 'big' gift and one 'small' gift, giving one to them at Christmas and one on their Birthday. It has worked perfectly so far and we never have to wonder if somebody is getting more or less than the other. Of course now we have a new, non January baby so we'll see how it works with her.

I try and give the same amount. :) I am having issues too one kids gifts are larger in size than the other so it looks like he is getting a lot more. Good Luck getting it all settled.
