Recently my husband and I went to a local visitors center. They sell locally made crafts and other products. I saw so many things that would be so easy to make but were priced very expensively. One of the things that caught my attention was the sock monkey and sock elephant. Do you remember those?
When I was a child, I remember the homemade sock moneys were very popular. My Aunt had one and I just loved it. I had forgotten about them till I saw one in the visitors center. I decided to make a few of them for for Christmas gifts. I thought that I would share the pattern with you nice folks. Here is how I made mine:
You will need a pair of medium length socks. Mine is made with men's work socks. I suggest that you do not use tube socks as the heel is part of the monkey.
