Now is a time of year that many people dread as the pressure is on to buy those gifts for everyone. I thought this might be a good post to help all of us to put up ideas of things that are free or nearly free to give.
Here are a few I came up with:
TEACH A SKILL
Perhaps your friend or relative would love to learn to cook, knit or some other talent you possess that they don't. All this requires is your time.
YOUR TIME
Offer your time. Maybe you have a friend or relative that could use a weekly dusting or sweeping of their house. What about offering a few times of free babysitting. I know I would of cherished that one when my kids were small. Massages? A cooked dinner...you pick!
SEEDLINGS
FREE! Give them a seedling or bulbs that you have split up to grow using one of your own plants.
And now your ideas?

Such as for older folks : one free leave rake, law mow, or trip to town (think of things they need or could use)
For parents : Free car wash, free dishwasher, free baby sitter (for younger siblings)
You can very creative making your own coupons.
As they became older and wanted to keep their books, we did the same thing with toys and clothes. In this way, they learned to value their possessions and also passed along some wonderful things that were in great shape for the next person. We used to tell them the old adage that said something like, "Remember that whatever is old to you, is something new to someone else."
What a wonderful idea to instill in your children, Madame Donna. I'm sure the ones receiving the things from your children were so very grateful. :)
