These yummy, candy-trimmed turkey cookies are simple to make and will be gobbled up in no time! Kids will enjoy helping with these cookies.
I made my cookies using the recipe below, but they can be made using refrigerated, slice and bake sugar cookie rolls or sugar cookie mix.
You will need:
Sugar cookies
Candy corn
Orange, green, chocolate and vanilla frosting decorator frosting in tubes or cans.
Here's my recipe. It's one of my family's favorites and very quick and easy to make:
Cake Mix Cookies
Preheat Oven to 350
- 1 pkg. yellow flavor cake mix ($1 Store mixes work fine)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup Canola or vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. Almond extract
Mix all ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Dip a glass into sugar and flatten cookies. Cookies should be 2 1/2 - 3 inches round.
Bake for 8 - 10 minutes @350. Check the bottoms to make sure they're not getting too dark.
To decorate cookies, use frosting decorator tubes for eyes and beaks. Use a bit of chocolate frosting to "glue" the candy corns on for the tail.

Put a cookie at each place setting, serve on a plate, or add some to the centerpiece. Any way you serve them, they won't last long!

I can't remember the last time I made cookies. :) Guess that means it's time I did it again. I think I'll copy this and do some shopping next time I'm out --- probably Friday.
Thanks for sharing this.
