I have one little problem with the "Elemental Metals" pdf from Bards and Sages games; It lists Aluminum as a metal with common availablility. In reality, aluminum is so attracted to oxygen molecules that it almost never occurs naturally in a pure form. Aluminum only became readily avialable after the discovery of Bauxite. I doubt seriously any society with a medieval level of technology would be aware of the existence of bauxite.

I know this is a niggling detail, but things like this bother me.

Thanks for your comments. You'll note from the product that the information refers to mostly Modern uses for Aluminum (electronics, CDs, building materials), not traditional fantasy uses. While you are correct that traditional fantasy settings wouldn't have ready knowledge of the metal, it is relatively common to modern cultures, and as such modern spellcasters would have easy access to it.
Whether or not to make it available in a fantasy setting is entirely up to the storyteller. But both this product and Elemental Gemstones present materials available to both fantasy and modern settings (and each product generally notes which it is intended for). It's up to the storyteller to determine what he/she will or will not allow.
