I'm confused regarding Lesser Void Beasts. In the Karmic Grimoire, the spells Summon Lesser Void Beast and Golem seems to imply you are summoning a creature with intelligence. But in Karmic Monsters, the template makes it obvious that Lesser Void Beasts have no intelligence. How do you negotiate with a mindless creature?

Part of the confusion is probably due to the fact that animals have zero ranks in Intellect. That does not mean it is mindless, however. Instead, it means the creature is incapable of higher cerebral activity, such as learning languages, working a computer, etc. They can still reason to a degree. Animals with the Void Beast Template will have a limited intelligence that, though they will never understand Shakespeare, doesn't mean they can't understand basic commands. An animal with the Void Beast Template is capable of rudimentary planning, such as laying in wait to ambush an opponent. All the Zero Attribute means is that the creature will never actually be able to develop Knowledge abilities.
Negotiating with a Void Beast would most likely either involve Manipulation (intimidating the creature into obeying) or Presence (comforting the creature into obeying). As denizens of the planes, Void Beasts recognize and fear strength, and so a show of force would whip the creature into submission. On the other hand, offering the creature food or some sort of treat would make it obey out of a desire to get more treats. Either way, once you succeed at the opposed roll, the creature will obey basic commands.
