I know, I know, I'm terrible for not having the nightly chats for a few (or more days). I miss talking with everyone when I don't get a chance to post them. Unfortunately, life happens though, whether we want it to or not, lol.

So, what are your plans for the weekend? I have an appointment Saturday morning, then nothing else planned the rest of the weekend.

It was another eventful day at the psych hospital. We had 4 patients for ECT (shock therapy) early this morning, and then I left to respond to a code gray (combative person) to help hold down a 21 year old with paranoid schizophrenia who thought he was batman.

Another normal day.

He gets out Sunday afternoon and I plan on having him come here right away to take a look at my van...although I know there is no way to afford to fix it....and I would rather quit my job than walk in the cold!

our store is doing the deal where you buy 10 items from the list and get an additional $5 off your bill and you can do it 3 times in one transaction, so I have coupons ready for my 30 items.

I sucked on some of those commit lozenges the first couple of days. Then just went without. Whenever I want to smoke some, I just think of the obscene amount of money we were spending on them.

I know that psych patients don't like anyone in scrubs...LOL....I enjoyed my psych rotation in nursing school...nice to just wear everyday clothes...the therapy sessions went better.

I know its not easy but i quit in 1984' and if i can do it any body can,I just went day by day and i even had a pack on the coffee table and i would pick them up and say ok you have gone this many days now lets see how many more you can go .And i did it .

Lona, I knew a woman who quit after 30 some years of smoking. What she did was put a pack of cigs and an apple on top of her tv. Every time she felt like smoking she walked over and made her choice. Luckily she chose the apple every time.

Yeah, I was taking Claritin for a couple of years, but it kind of wore off or something. Had to switch. The nettle leaves really help me to clear out the junk. :o)

I kind of live on the edge too. Lots of prairies? semi-desert areas? I'm not exactly sure what you'd call them. I only get allergies like this in Colorado though. They get especially bad when the weather changes, which it has been doing quite frequently lately.
