THE SKY (in my world) ON THIS JANUARY DAY 2009!

It has stopped raining but the wind is blowing, well, actually howling, the windchimes are ringing and the birds are singing as if it were spring.  Might as well be spring....the temp is 65 but it doesn't look like spring on this January day, everything is brown and dead. The sky is very dark and gloomy but all of a sudden the sun pops out and I see lots of white clouds in a very blue sky.  For a couple minutes, the sun is so bright I need my sunshades (sometimes I actually do take them off) then back to dark and gloomy, bright and sunny, dark and gloomy, bright and sunny...............

Since the temps are nice and warm, I thought I had better go outside because I know the cold weather is coming.  Just the thoughts of it makes me hurt but as long as there is no snow in my little area of South Carolina I will make it!!!

All photos were taken today...just a couple minutes apart!  Wouldn't it be great if the spring and summer could come as quickly as the sky can change??????  Oh well, it's only a little over ten weeks to spring!!!!!!!!!  Even though the sky can change extremely fast in the spring and summer, at least the trees will not be gloomy andbare!!!!

FYI: Electricity has just gone out..................:O(  Wind is blowing stronger by the moment!!!

I got your email and I will reply to it later tonight after I get the kiddoes to bed. No sense in even trying right now. Haley is trampsing around the house singing songs from "Mamma Mia" and Parker is alternately Superman or Batman or something.

I gotta figure out something for supper anyway. Ron has to go to the church this evening, so we have to eat earlier than usual. I thought the kids and I might go too and I could spend my last Gather GC at HD for some Christmas things. Hopefully they haven't sold everything yet. I really need to replace some of my Christmas lights.

It's going to get pretty cold tonight. Our temps have been dropping all day. We're supposed to bottom out around 29.

Wow, thanks Ina and B.....I've been told lots of things in my life, i.e., my 'great' southern draw (as in accent, LOL) but never a talent for photography!!! I'll certainly take that as a great compliment!!!!

Nana = some of these wind gust have been stronger than the last tropical storm we had!

M = our temps are dropping too...I've just closed the patio doors it was getting cooler. I knew our warm southern days would not last......"old man winter" is on his way!!!!

Btw, I'm typing by candlelight....electricity is back out!!!!! :O( I called to report the power outage and was told it would be approximately 7:00PM when our electricity would be back on!

I call that blue. It is very blue - in fact, it's Philly blue - the most beautiful blue in the world, I call that sky, blue sky, Philly sky - the most amazing sky in the world!

Gorgeous! I think I'll come visit! We actually have sunshine today, but it is so cold it is brutal. It takes your breath away, and we are going to get worse. Monday and Tuesday the high is supposed to be 6.
