Love the title Fabulous Disaster. That is THE ONLY kind of disaster I ever hope to have. No boring run-of-the-mill disasters for me, baby! Give me FABULOUSNESS OR GIVE ME... well, death is a bit strong, but you see my point.
Fabulous Disaster were pretty high energy. If they were to have any kind of disaster, I'm sure it would be a fabulous one. I liked Björk's dance music on this album, but a couple of her love songs were a little too syrupy for me.
I've never heard of any of these before but thanks to your review, Doug now I have. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to these groups I will probably never listen too.
Mona & Mary, Fleet Foxes is brand new, but Carbon/Silicon includes Mick Jones of the Clash reuniting with a former bandmate from 1975, Tony James. Bjork's Debut came out in 1993. Put Out Or Get Out was released in 2001, but as far as I know, it's out of print. I looked for the CD for a long time, but wound up downloading it from iTunes. The Black Keys are fairly new-- Rubber Factory came out in 2004. They sound a lot like the White Stripes at times with their big drum and guitar sound.
Hi, Dawn! I guess I can see a resemblance to Michael Jackson, especially since she's hiding part of her face. This is the first album of hers that I've bought. Her dance music is really good!
