Baby Blanket!

I have been working on crocheting a baby blanket for my sister's friend for about a month.  She is going to see the baby today.  I finished the blanket about 10pm last night!......I work well under pressure! LOL  I think baby blankets are my favorite things to crochet or knit.

Do you knit or crochet? If so, what is your favorite thing to make?

I don't knit or crochet. I do some cross stitch or plastic point, but not very often. I do enjoy making beaded jewelry, though.

I crochet. But, I have arthritis in my fingers now and don't do it like I use to. Last time I made an afghan was 3 years ago. Think that will be my last one.

I can crochet a simple chain, and that's all I remember from when I was little. I remember learning to crochet a scarf, and I remember the scarf being much narrower on one end. I really wish I could learn how to both knit and crochet.

The blanket is lovely!

Sandra, what a beautiful gift. I know it will be appreciated. I have tried to knit and crochet but am pretty ghastly at it. I do felt my wool, needle and wet felt.

My mom is wonderful at it and taught me to crochet as a kid. I made blankets for my kids which took forever LOL. My mom makes blankets like there's no tomorrow - I under one of her beautiful creations right now :)

I CROCHET AND HAVE BEEN SINCE I WAS ABOUT 17 YRS OLD...I USE THREADS MORE THAN YARN AND I MAKE DOILIES MOSTLY . I DON'T USE PATTERNS,,JUST CREATE MY OWN AND SELL THEM AT CRAFTS SHOWS OUT IN CALIFORNIA THAT MY AUNTS AND MOM SIGN UP FOR..I CAN CROCHET JUST ABOUT ANYTHING . MY LATEST CREATION WAS A BOTTLED WATER COVER WITH STRAP..THOSE SOLD REALLY WELL. I ALSO QUILT BUT DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME FOR THAT ALTHO I SHOULD GET BACK TO IT AS I HAVE SEVERAL UNFINISHED PROJECTS ...YOU MIGHT KNOW HOW THAT GOES..WHILE WORKING ON ONE YOU GET AN IDEA FOR ANOTHER AND START THAT ONE...LOL I MAKE APPLIQUE QUILTS AND HAVE DONE PIECING BUT LOVE THE OTHER MORE. You did a beautiful job on it! I try to knit, but drop stitches and have a difficult time keeping them the same size. All I've done were coasters, potholders and scarfs. Nothing as large as this. Great accomplishment!

I took a knitting class a while back, but with 2 toddlers and a FT job, the only things I've had time to knit are potholders! I love them though - I wish I had more time to do something other than the super-basics!
