Well, I finally got the message I've been dreading.......

getting here on Gather. Imagine my surprise as I'm happily sitting here at the computer drinking my morning coffee and doing some Gathering and sending some pings when I'm told that I am PINGED OUT!  Too much of a good thing is bad or so it told me! I don't like it! I enjoy my pings! So, I just wanted to say to my friends who don't hear from me today it's because I've been bad and am over the ping limit! LOL  Have a great day everyone!

Hi Sandy,You just have to reload the page and the pings will work.I don't like the way they do that.I thought gather wanted people to communicate,I guess they don't.

Sandra,

There is no daily ping limit. Just wait up to one minute between pings and you'll be OK. Gather forced this delay between pings to reduce the potential for ping spam. You also shouldn't have to refresh the page between pings.

Sorry, I should have been clearer about something...

You may have to refresh the page if you see the "all pinged out message" (to get rid of it). However, if you don't see the message, you don't have to refresh the page.

That happened to me once when I sent someone a couple long pings, it look like they limit you to a certain amount of charachters a day to ping, I'm not one who pings a lot, so I resorted to sending a PM.

ok good....I was disappointed to not get my Sandy morning ping! I have also gotten that all pinged out, too much of a good thing message and I do hit refresh and can send asap.

The pings are strange. They say that, but allow you too anyways, after a few more times of trying. I am having a problem today with getting any pings out, nothing shows up. Also, respondings aren't going through either.

If you are pinging, you can't be shopping for all the cool things you collect or put in your booth. If you aren't shopping then you have nothing new to take a picture of and post. If you are not posting your pics, then I don't get to see them. Do you get where I am going with this? Cool it on the pings girl, you are a pinging fool!

I rarely ping, but had about 2-3 I needed to do one time. I was "pinged out" after one lousy ping!!! ugh.
