The newspaper said Obama "brings far more promise to the office. In a time of grave economic crisis, he displays thoughtful analysis, enlists wise counsel and operates with a cool, steady hand."
The Daily News said since the economic crisis has emerged, McCain has "stumbled and fumbled badly" in dealing with it.
"Of the two candidates, Sen. Obama better understands the mortgage meltdown's root causes and has the judgment and intelligence to shape a solution, as well as the leadership to rally the country behind it," the paper said.
The Daily News said Palin has shown the country why she is a success as governor. But the paper said few would argue that Palin is truly ready to step into the job of being president despite her passion, charisma and strong work ethic.
Alaska's largest newspaper, endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Sunday after declaring Gov. Sarah Palin "too risky" to be one step away from the Oval Office.

For Palin this is a severe blow, proving only what everyone has been saying since day one, that this woman to too risky to enter the second highest office in the Nation! Now openly confirmed by her own Alaskan Newspaper! Wow unbelievable!
Go Obama!
Thanks for your comment Nicole! Have a great day!
We don't need no stinkin intellectual in the White House. We need a moose huntin, wolf shootin maverick to shake things up in Washington.
It made me laugh to see this story. That must have pissed her off something royal.
Thanks for your Comment! Have a great day!
Go Obama!
I simply love it!
Have a nice day! Thanks for your comment.

HAHAHAhahhaaa....just what we need, eh? Oh man...experience, skill, and education really scare some people. I hope to high heavens we can get someone NOT average at such a time as this!
"So their is a newspaper in the country that the neocons do not own, unbelievable. "
I'm a bit amazed too. Especially in Alaska.
"Alaska is not the huge red monlith people think it is."
Yes it is.

Biden likened the 'for certain' test that Obama will face w/in the first 6 months to JFKs Cuban Missile Crisis test. Problem is, JKF had both wartime experience and a good deal more political experience than Obama. And, don't forget WHY he faced the missile crisis test: because Nikita Khrushev STILL thought he was weak and inexperienced, and thought the USSR could advance their ambitions and JFK would be too weak to stand up to them.
You say, well, we came through that one OK, didn't we?...
How many times do you want to roll THOSE dice and hope they don't come up with the nuclear 'snake eyes'? I for one want someone in that White House who understands the enemies we face and won't let them mistakenly perceive us as 'weak' and in need of 'testing'.
We don't need 'Laurel & Hardy Meets Ghengis Khan'. --- PLEASE take a critical look at who we're electing! John McCain may not be the perfect candidate (we'll never have that as long as our system continues to so thoroughly eviscerate anyone who steps up to the plate), but he'll certainly be far more successful at keeping us safe than Obama/Biden will.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!
With respect to the people who will surround Obama as president to advise him, that offers no comfort. He has shown a propensity to surround himself with people who are very worrisome (Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, to name but a few). What makes you think he will surround himself with so much better a calibre of people in the White House?
Go Obama!
Obama has explained both past associations repeatedly. Why do some insist on harping about such past foolishness? People need to see beyond the political tools, although McCain has used both as a political spin to try and win the oval office. McCain said himself during his campaign Obama is a good decent family man and an American citizen, none should be afraid if he was to become president!
Respectfully Steve use logic, and bypass all the political spin. This kind of pumped rhetoric is often used by most candidates running for office. Look at the real issues, which matter and will be in the best interest for you, your family and the country. Than choose the candidate, you believe better equipped for the job.
My personal stance is the American people need a intelligent, calm steadfast leader as Obama, he will unite the American people and help put this country back on the road to prosperity! Obama has the support and backing of some of the most brilliant minds in America! He is highly respected and loved by the majority of the American people! So, My vote will go for Senator Obama!

The media is reporting there is a lot of blame and finger pointing in the McCain's failing Camp, especially toward Palin! It's been reported some of McCain's top advisors is very angry with Palin. They are openly expressing their dismay, all calling her a Diva and a Rogue. My, My how things change...first she the best thing that happen to the Republican base, now she's a rogue! I wander why the sudden change of heart?
Everyone thanks for your comments!
It will be interesting to see if any of these make a difference. Most people I know decided their votes a while ago and many (me included) have already voted.
I don't like saying things about McCain, I want to think the best of him, but he has made a lot of mistakes, the biggest one has been Palin. He flip-flops around on Constitutional issues to gain the support of the hardline Republican party leaders until I don't know what he stands for anymore - not to mention his pathetic attacks on Obama over trivialities. I don't want him or the Republicans in the White House.
What are Republicans thinking?
