And you and me are still young
Enough to really live, my love.
We are simply entering another
Season of emotion.
The years only beginning
To gray what they have claimed
And have been allowed to claim.
The wind blowing away what it can
~ What cannot be tied down.
Keep whispering your soul
Into my soul.
Keep primal scream tears
Falling into my primal soul.
Keep filling up
The empty spaces.
Keep creating
Empty spaces.
Tearing down
Vacant walls.
Building up
New walls.
Opening locked doors.
Locking others In turn
As we forever transform together
Under the aegis of the Immortals.
As I grow like the roots of the
Eternal banyan tree
~ Hanging down from the branches.
Helping provide shade while growing
Closer to the sweet earth
In silent anticipation,
Until finally, finally touching her.
Gently penetrating her.
Slowly pushing deeper
Until we are one in purpose.
Deeply rooted by the banks of
The Eternal Holy Ganga,
Which descended from heaven.
Running slow and deep,
The Source of your whisper
~ True essence in deepest longings.
Flowing into my source.
Pockets of cosmic energy overflowing.
Slowed down to a trickle at times.
Going full circle ~ back and forth
From out of reach channels.
That something ~
Deep beyond the starry masses.
That something ~
Some call love.
That something ~
Some call God.
That something ~
Flowing and living in
You and me.

again: good form.
i'm glad you drew me back in.
But it seems that this little detour may have been a good idea. Lifting spirits with romantic poetry is a good thing. Glad you liked it, Jan.
The sadness and the life has touched it and like a godess this poetry has come out of the fire.

silence for God
uh huh. Cheers.
KUSHAL> Thanks again. Yeah, I didn't want to make it too explicit. Cheers.
CHARITY> Thank you. Nice to see you. Cheers.
"Running slow and deep,

I agree, it is hard NOT to get sentimental when it comes to love.
Really makes the mind wander into deep thoughts.
The soul reaches out for more.
This is FEATURED in Artistic Therapy.
Maybe you will share with us your INSPIRATION for writing your poetics . . .
The inspiration for this piece comes from the Native American Muse, Laura Lee. I also have the honour and pleasure of being wed to this Cree "Princess" for 31 years. (We married in our teens ~ childhood sweethearts).
I love the "deep roots ~ beyond the two of you both" ~ EXCELLENT DESCRIPTION for a DEEP and ENDURING LOVE.
HUGS ~ and KNOW that I am looking forward to reading more of your Literary Masterpieces!
Your Friend,
René
I'm doing fine and about to move. Hope you are well too.
CHARITY> Thank you. You're too kind!
C A> I wanted to make it fairly simple, till I got into the phallic symbolism of that amazing tree.

As far as my new book. . . it took a while to get it written and tying-up odds and ends due to health restraints. But, so far so good!
Yes, God bless the poets!
It sent my mind to different places every few stanzas.

"As I grow like the roots of the
Eternal banyan tree"
...as I lived in S. Florida for many years, and the banyan tree at Thomas Edison's house fascinated me...now I know why :-)
RUTH> Thanks, Ruth. I would love to actually see and touch a banyan.
