If the sun refused to shine
if the mountains crumbled to the sea
love songs and other hyperbole
love, ahhh, love
what of love?
don't call me love unless you mean it
I am human
I am fragile
I am breakable
you love, you are the moon
distant and beautiful
sought out by poets and lovers alike
it has been so long for me
I wish to be gazed at like the moon
my love
long for me
linger with me
a brief respite for the heart's sake
the end is ending
the beginning was a dream.
I was listening to alot of Doors and Zepplin last night, this is one of two inspired by a Zepplin song. The video is below.

I like to listen to the Moody Blues when I am writing, they inspire me.
Great poem!
Fascinating blend of cautious hope and guarded fatalism. Well written.
i second that, Beck.
Don't let him break your heart Chana... A lovely poem and I liked the video.
But, but
when I told you of love
you ran to another spot
not showing me a care
for love or hope in the pot.
you with drew from all
hid from the reality then
not allowing love its due
or its passion's blend.
Now you speak of me
when referring to the moon
wondering what's up with us
shall we meet again soon
I have to see your heart
what's left of what was then
so much love in a holding space
to me it feels just like sin.
See, you remain inspirational
Good stuff
nice !!!!!!!!!
When I read the poem, the first thing I thought was that it sounded like a rock song...hmm, now I know why. Good job.
You are an inspiration to the Lady Moon...
Great Write my friend!
fragile gem~
your muse has dug her heels in deep, Chana~
I have decided my muse must be male, with stars in his eyes.
O my gad, you have no idea how 'hard' it is to keep the utterly guttery comment inside that just hit me =D I'll be good I'll be good I'll be good. . . .unless you tell me it's okay to be a pig =D
Ahhhh, do I want to hear this?
um, no ;) cuz your post isn't flagged =D
Thank you for posting to GutterGirls~
Your writing inspires....good job.
Keith, where did you hear that? Floyd and Zepplin were around simultaneously!
My then significant other, Keith Moon, named Zepplin. Sitting in a club in London one night he was asked how he liked the band, by John 'Bonzo' Bonham and Moonie said "Dear boy, I think you will go over like a Lead Zepplin!" Later changed to Led.
Led Zepplin rules and so does your poems!
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
I really like this
Hi Chana There must be some rules in life. There can be no freedom without some basic conditions. One is the title of your song.
The other is that you have to fall in love with your muse. A muse can't really communicate outside of an aura of love. So you muse being a man is good.
I owe you an answer but I've just had the worst day of my life and I won't be able to do you justice. I'll do so early tomorrow morning. With my first cup of coffee. Looking forward to that.
Fred, thank you! As far as my muse, hmmm. I recently had to get a new muse because my old muse did not seem to be working out very well. So we are still in a trial phase to see if it will work out long term or not. This muse has a tendency to not communicate when arranged, but when he does communicate it is working out pretty good. I hope your day gets alot better.
Understanding smile. Wise nod of head. Thinks ... should I post a certain story on a muse. Hmmmm...thinks yes, I will. It's about a muse communicating.
Today is miserably done for, as its 11:30 pm here...but tomorrow will be a great new day. Thank you.
PS Yes I do like your kind of music.
Let me know if you publish the story about the muse Fred. I would be interested in reading it.
This one almost had me in tears, it's that good. Love and hugs, dear Chana. Thank you for posting to our group.
Your poem is now featured. xxx
JJ, Thank you and Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Not sure I am glad you cried though, but I am honoured!
Chana, I love music. It inspires me so, and I especially love Led Zeppelin......'When The Levee Breaks' and 'Kashmir' and 'Since I Been Loving You' are just a few I love..... along with 'Thank You' and 'Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You'......
And YES!!! I'm your friend, so feel free to 'chase' my posts and comments and such.:)
Mandy
Mandy, many times I am listening to a piece of music and it inspires something in me, so I know what you mean. On the other hand my muse might be driving me crazy about something and listening to a song that fits can help to crystalize that as well. This happens to be my all time favourite Zepplin song. As John Beck keeps saying, yes I am a romantic.
And don't you notice, when you're in emotional turmoil, you always hear the song that says EXACTLY what you're feeling, and it makes you cry? Then people at the red light look at you funny, but who cares, right? All hands up, who's a romantic? *both hands up*
Both hands, legs and my nose is pointed up!
me, too....
...me, too.
Chana, you're an incurable romantic.
Thank you for posting to The Surreal Circus.
Ann, I could think of much worse incurable things to have.
I think I gave up wishing for the kind of love that would drive this heartfelt expression long ago. Your writing is powerful and communicates that so well. I see how many understand the wish and the longing.
