Scents send me back.
I see things now that I did not even realize were there,
but they were.
Looking back I see the signposts on the road of my life.
I look at them one by one and read them.
I see the messages I was meant to receive,
I was previously so blind.
I remember now, I remember who you are.
A crimson coloured phantom, a poppy pleasured dream*,
that calls my name.
*No, this poem does not really refer to drugs, the word just fit.
I know I have been using music alot on my poems lately. I just love having high speed because it allows me to express myself further. Music feeds my muse. As Wm. Shakespeare said If music be the food of love, play on.
I Am Yours
Derek and the Domino's
(Eric Clapton and Nizami)
I am yours.
However distant you may be,
There blows no wind but wafts your scent to me,
There sings no bird but calls your name to me.
Each memory that has left its trace with me
Lingers forever as a part of me.

very awesome Chana... love this... peace and joy ....
Really liked this...sad to see how many times our own ignorance or naivete prevents us from seeing things we are menat to see...
Charles, I was thinking that and I was also thinking how sometimes we communicate with each other, but do not really get what the other party is communicating to us. Ok, that sentence was rather cumbersome, but you probably get my drift.
yeah opportunities lost and probably feelings hurt...still it works out in the end.
Ahhh, but what if that opportunity presented itself again and left keys or clues? One never knows in life do one?
Naw, it all happened (or didn't) for a reason I think. I'm very happy now and I do believe things worked out for the best.
I see the messages I was meant to receive. Oh ya - I can relate to that, Chana:)
Rose, its funny isn't it? Sometimes you have to look from the back to see what was in front of you the whole time.
I love this, but that first picture is AWESOME. I love that song, too. Is the picture yours, or from somewhere else?
Rhetta, I use Google Images. If you click on the little picture you will find a link to the site it comes from. I always try to link back to the site where the images come from. I think its only fair.
I love what your poem says and doesn't say.
You are entering a wonderful time in your life. I think that all signposts remain with you until you can understand what's written on them. Sometimes that's not easy at the time.
Your image is stunning. I can look at it again and again.
Fred, now I am wondering what I didn't say. Blame my muse, I am but the scribe and the muse is the corazón.
The answer to your question is not a sentence or two but a discussioon. Do you enjoy red wine? We here have something called Rubicon. The fairest of the Cape. It would have to be a discussion and a glass of Rubicon.
In the meantime, most of my answer lies in my story "My Muse" just posted.
Fred, we seem to be trains that pass in the night (or in my case the early morn). It is 5:24 AM here and I have not gotten any sleep yet. I am going to get some sleep and come back and read things I have been asked to read. I look forward to reading "My Muse". Oh, I do drink wine on (at this point very rare) occasion.
Take your time Chana. Please sleep. Know that there is peace all around you.
That beautiful hindsight, where colors are so vivid, and vision so clear. Then I turn forward again to blurred reality, and the ever-changing future.
Lewis that is so beautiful. Thank you!
the poem was great, the first photo so vivid and fitting. Did you do it, chana? :)
Penni, I use Google Images. If you click on the little picture you will find a link to the site it comes from. I always try to link back to the site where the images come from. I think its only fair.
I don't use a lot of images off the net, but I do as you, and always let folk know too. the image fits your ever so poignant words..... :)
Your vision is never as clear as when it is your hindsight your using. The real key is not letting your hindsight, cloud your futures vision.
I recognise that CD cover! Just played "Layla"!
Good poems girl!
