Inauguration Day 2009 Freebies & Discounts

Dunkin' Donuts: Get a Stars & Stripes donut for 44 cents with the purchase of a medium coffee or hot chocolate on Jan. 20 at participating shops in Washington, D.C. and other select markets.

Krispy Kreme: Get a free donut of your choice on Jan. 20 to celebrate the "freedom of choice" at locations nationwide.

Starbucks: Get a free Tall coffee from January 21- 25 if you sign a pledge to do five hours of volunteer work. Partnering with HandsOn Network, pick up a pledge card inside stores.

Bakers Square: Get a free slice of pie with any purchase beginning on Wed. Jan. 21 to celebrate the inauguration and National Pie Day (Jan. 23) at their 146 locations.

California Tortilla: Customers who "dance, shake, or shimmy" on Jan. 20th will get a free taco and a commemorative key chain at any of the 40 locations.

Legal Sea Foods: Get a cup of clam chowder for just 44 cents on Jan. 20; or a quart of clam chowder for $4.44. Restaurant locations in ten states.

T.G.I. Friday's: Get a free commemorative button, half-priced appetizers and specially priced drinks on Jan. 20 when the restaurant hosts the "World's Largest Inauguration Party" starting at 11 AM at their 920 locations.

Quaker True Delights: Get a free sample of Quaker's new True Delights chewy granola bars on Jan. 20.

MoveOn.org: Get a free commemorative Obama sticker designed by artist Shepard Fairey (who designed the iconic Obama "Hope" poster).

New Yorker Magazine: Get a free commemorative copy of the magazine honoring Barack Obama (Jan. 26th edition) when you register for free for their website.

Free Cosmetics: Get free cosmetics on Jan. 20 from department stores like Macy's, Saks or Dillard's. $175 million worth of free cosmetics will be distributed (while supplies last) as part of a 2004 class-action settlement.

Colour of Change: These stickers commemorate the day Barack Obama and his family moved into the White House and began a new chapter in our country's history.

You can get one sticker for FREE (and that includes shipping -- you pay nothing). For a $3+ donation, we'll send you 5 stickers. For a $10+ donation, we'll send 20 stickers. For a $20+ donation, we'll send 50 stickers.

They're 4x6 (about the size of a postcard) and may take 5-7 weeks to arrive.

Lynn, I got the sticker from MoveOn after the election (I collect these and buttons) and I think they are really nice. Hubby told me to save them carefully because they will become collector's items. I signed up on The New Yorker site for the commemorative cover too.

Starbucks just go to the web site to sign up, as Starbucks e-mailed me about the coffee.

The donuts no luck neither place here. Bakers Square is leaving California.

great list, but I would not have taken advantage of any of these offers even free. And fortunately there are no K.K's in my area, and I'm not a coffee drinker. hopefully we'll see a list of freebees like this when Obama leaves office as well.
