On a light note...

My son is a sweetheart for the most part, but like most people, he HATES housework. We all have differences, and my family is no different, but today, my son had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. I just had to share the short tale.

My son has not been able to work for the last three weeks. Now, when he was working, he had gotten to where he was constantly fussing at his wife for not being able to get the house spotless while he was at work. I waited for a couple of weeks, and today, I decided was a good time to make a small point with him. All that has been accomplished since he has been off of work is that he has kept his wife from accomplishing anything between video games and finding reasons to be away from home. I sat him down and said, "Michael, have you noticed that when you start a job, you start complaining that your wife never gets the housework caught up? Now, you have been off of work for 3 weeks, and you haven't been able to HELP her catch up the housework in that time. Does this tell you something?"

Without missing a beat, my son replied, "Yeah, I need to stop complaining."

I am so glad I can laugh at times like this.......
