Another Halloween is upon us....Happy Halloween

I can't believe how fast the calendar comes around lately. Halloween is here. It seemed like it was only yesterday I was planning summer vacations for this year.

Halloween isn't what it used to be. All of my girls are grown and I am down to only one home. I think back to when I was a younger mother, how excited I would be on this day. I would dress up with them and take them trick or treating.

So my younger parent counterparts....cherish these days!! cause...all of a sudden they are gone!

You are right about that. My kids are grown and gone also. We won't even get any trick or treaters out here so no decorations or anything.

Happy Halloween to you too donna!! I had to go to two parties for my daughter yesterday and now it will be trick or treating tonite for two hours and then a stop at my Aunts for cider and homemade donuts.

When I lived in Virginia near Washington DC we got tons of trick or treaters. Now that I am living in South Carolina I hardly see any.

I am down with the flu today, so it is better that I not risk infecting any of the kids anyway, so it works out.

But as a kid Halloween was my favorite holiday -- even more than Christmas.
