BACK From Our WILD Weekend! (How did YOURS Go?)

Got back a little while ago from our big weekend in Milwaukee. It was exhausting but really really fun. It's been three or four years since we were last there, so we were well over due for visiting.

Saturday we spent the day at the Milwaukee Zoo. It's a giant and has so much to offer. However, bummer moments were: Red panda (a favorite) not out and the Fennec Fox off display due to an apparently smashed cage. :( Highlights? The JAGUAR that was beautiful and posing for so many photos for me. (You'll see him later, he's gorgeous), the meerkats (who also were posing for photos - unlike the ones at Madison that hide), the springhaas that allowed so many photos as he went about his day, the spider monkey that gave me some neat shots of his teeth, the chimps that were relaxing and embracing (Was neat seeing the bond between them) and the bats (which creep Clint out, but Gideon and I liked them LOL.

We stayed overnight there, (which was a BIG perk for Gideon who got to swim a lot at the hotel) so today we explored Lake Michigan pier and walked out there. I got photos of the lake, boats, pier, birds, shoreline and cityscape. VERY nice.

Both days the weather was perfect and we could not have asked for more perfect temps. :)

Lazy weekends can be good as well. I can tell you I'm ready for one of those after all the walking we did LOL.

I got my workout and burned off most of the food I ate over the weekend at least. :P

It sounds like you had a lot of fun. I went to the Cincinnati Zoo this summer but I haven't posted the pics yet. I guess I should do that soon.
My weekend was busy. I didn't sleep well friday night. Saturday I went to a wedding of a friend and it was beautiful...I did her hair for her. The reception was fun a lot of our mutual friends were there and made a few new ones. Got back to the B&B around midnight I think.
got up at 6 am came home where I did nothing till this afternoon when I went to a baby shower my mother in law had for me and my niece's birthday party. Came home fixed supper. Now I am ready to drop!

We sure did. Milwaukee is a beautiful city. I can see why my sister in law lives there now. :)

So glad to had you had a great weekend. With tomorrow starting FALL we need to say good bye to summer in style LOL

Glad to be back - sorta. I'd love to see the animals again to be honest, LOL but since I can't here's where I want to be. :P

Yes we all had fun. The finger is... so so. I think going between the hot tub and the cold pool helped it last night. It seems a bit better now.
