8 year old boy accused of murder!

That's just crazy!

I wonder what is all going on with the case.

We all have our breaking point you know, it's sad this child was forced to his.

I'm sure there is more to it.

Hard to imagine what could make a child do this. I guess you have to wait until the whole story comes out to really understand what happened.

My guess is he was abused. It takes a lot to kill. Since he wasn't in trouble before for anything, it sounds like he had had enough of something. I know it may sound crazy that he did this, but I can tell you growing up it did cross my mind when I was 10 years old

. My hesitancy at the time was knowing I had no idea what to do afterwards. I did leave home at 18 and 1 week. Alcohol was a large factor and my relationship did not improve with my parents until they stopped drinking.

We might never know, but if this boy was being sexually abused by these men, he may have felt he had no choice. When an adult visits your bed on a regular basis it does do something awful to a child and it scars one for life.

If he was physically abused it is more likely the school would have seen signs of it.

I hope they can find out what happened and they can help him somehow.

That is horrible! I wonder what was happening with this child.

When in sixth grade, my best friend kept his .22 rifle loaded and under his bed for the next time his step father beat on my friends mom. If the boy was abused I would call it self defense.

Oh . . . how terrible. It sounds like self defense to me. Something was definitely wrong to make a child act that way.

In all likelyhood he was abused in some way, and was pushed to the edge. He may have not in his childlike mind known any other way to make the pain stop. But we do not truly know the whole story.

I don't know what's worse... that a child could DO that, or that kids that young CAN be charged in the US

I agree with some of the others. This child was most likely abused in some way. How very, very sad this is.

Are we sure that the cops did not cover any one else? At the end of the day, they may believe a kid risks less than an adult who should be protected.

If nothing else, this will have many parents be a lot more careful with locking up their guns.

I think what is worse is that a child is brought, by abuse and mistreatment, to the point of doing something as desperate as this. I have been in Arizona, read Arizona newspapers, and there are those questionable areas, just like there are anywhere else, where people are kind of whacho, either because of social or economic reasons, and as they say, stuff happens. Very sad state of affairs.
