I'm happy you were able to cash out. But I don't think you have to worry about Gather. I just cashed out on Oct 3rd for a 200 check and received it today.
My husband would have 7 points left if he cashed out a $50 payment today, so don't feel so bad. I'm working my way up to my next $50, and I should be there in a week.
Lera's right, no fees here. BUT I've never had any money coming into my accout except from here. Maybe you have like a buisness account or something, if they're charging you.
If Gather bites the dust, I think it will be due to "articles" like this one, and members like Rick L. who don't really visit the site but use bots to post multiple one line articles each day.
I missed out on BT, but thinking I am lucky. I am pretty new hear at Gather, but am finally getting those pts to add up! I am going to be sooo excited when I do my first payout! I am sure I will post something when that happens!
I've learned not to let any points on any of these types of sites to accumulate too much. Sad, but I've been burned too many times....BT, Netweiner, and some others....
I'm finding that points accumulate rather quickly, I'm not sure how this all works but being that this sight has been around for a while I think that it is more apt to stay and not disappear, I hope as I just joined. Mooch
I feel quite confident they'll never do what BT did. However, with that said, after a year in the Gather community I cashed out half my points yesterday and never have cashed in any before! I believe it was YOU who posted some expensive swag you got for your kitties from Targets with Gather cards, lol, so I decided if ever I was to do it, it was now, as Smokey absolutely had to have it too!!! Must say I was surprised, got 2 - $50 Target cards for him, that should do it, and have about enough left for 3 more! Gonna cash those in next month for 6-8 $25 cards to various places to pass around at Christmas, it is a beautiful thing!!

I always get excited when I cash out my points on various websites, but then I feel sad that I have to start all over again, heh :D
