Are you stressed out by your daily life? Feel sluggish and would like to get reenergized? Super Cleanse, by Adina Niemerow, just might be the answer you need! This book is a great primer on cleansing to purify the body and mentally get back on track.
It reviews just exactly what cleansing is, and ways to get ready for a cleanse so the side effects won't be as bad. It also lets you know what equipment you will need before doing a cleanse, along with several recommendations depending on how much money you want to spend.
Another chapter focuses on seven essentials of your daily routine. Examining these essentials can make a big difference in your life, even if you don't do a cleanse. Nine different cleanses are in the book. They range from a one-day cleanse that can be done monthly to more intense 5-7 day cleanses that should only be done twice a year.
Each cleanse section tells you when to do the cleanse. What are you trying to accomplish with your cleanse? This section will help you determine if it's the right cleanse for you. It prepares you on how you'll feel during the cleanse, gives a testimonial, lists any special equipment you'll need, and gives you a lot of recipes. It also gives cleanse-boosting activities that can heighten your experience. There is also a chapter devoted to breaking a cleanse and how to restock your pantry to get rid of the processed foods that most people stock their homes with.
Although I didn't try a cleanse because I am currently nursing, I saw several recipes that I will be making for my monthly raw and veggie potlucks. A few of the recipes seemed incomplete - they would mention an ingredient in the description and it wouldn't be in the ingredient list. I'm not sure if the error was in the recipe or the intro. The only other negative is that you will need to puchase a juicer, which can be expensive. Of course, this would be true for any cleanse.
If you're serious about incorporating cleanses into your routine, this book will give you all of the information you need!

Sarah, althugh these cleanses have a lot of juices, they have other foods in them as well, so I think they would be beneficial. I know there are some arguments that the juice fasts aren't safe.
