~I am so Excited!!~

Our daughter is on fall break from College and on her way home for 4 days! She should be here in the next 2 hours! I cannot wait to hug her! She is the baby and now we are doing the whole empty nest thing, and it has been hard on me!

I went to the store today and got a few of her fav things to eat. Came home, made some cupcakes and egg salad for sandwiches. I do not really know how much we will see her over the weekend..lol. I know she wants to get out and about and seeher friends. 

But I will probably be able to spend some time with her on Monday and Tuesday before she has to go back. She does not have a car at College, but managed to get a ride home. We may have to take her back on Tuesday, would be a 5 hour round trip, not too bad. 

I am so excited! Thanks for letting me share!

Yay! i dont know about the empty next thing cuz i'm so young and so is my lil 4 month old TODAY son, and the 6 week in my tummy :) But i know how it is to go without him for a week, and that almost killed me, so wow, i'm exicted for you too! My mom thought i was gonna end up moving away to college and stuff, and i'm the baby, but i came right back home and have been here ever since :) I guess i'm just suposed to be a mommy :)

Steph-it was hard the first couple of weeks, I kept crying. Then told myself "Self-you gotta stop this!" I then started looking at it more like 2nd honeymoon for me and hubby! WOOT!
Got some romance back in the ole marriage! Nice to just take off and do things, no babysitter to hire etc. When your time comes, let me know and I will hold your hand!

Netty, I too am in the empty nest syndrome and I love it when my daughter comes home for a weekend. I also go out, buy all her favorite things to eat and hope she has a little time for me ;) She usually has the weekend planned with activities with her friends, but just to have her home and in her own bed when I check on her in the morning is nice..
as for getting some romance back in the marriage, its been wonderful to do what we want when we want...just to sit an watch a movie together, go for ice cream, take a walk with the dogs..its definately bringing the romance back into our marriage!

Well, she got home fine, started some laundry, spent some time on the phone and then left to go to a friend's house..LOL
BUT~I did get a BIG HUG when she hit the door!

Oh and she ate an egg salad sand and had a cupcake before she left.
So glad she's on way home, I do hope to see photos of her that you take during her visit.

We had a very good time, but I think she got bored.& was glad to go back..lol
Not sure how she is going to handle being home for the log Christmas break...
