~Have you had your flu shot?~

Hubby works in a factory and he gets his free. Some years I have to pay ten dollars for my shot, but this year it is free for spouses. Cool. I am on my way out the door to go get it....have to make sure I get it in my left arm, so my right arm will not hurt when I use my mouse..LMAO!

Our youngest daughter has asthma and her Dr. has recommended that she get a flu shot for the past 3 years. She is at College now, so I need to remember to email her and remind her to check on flu shots at the campus....

No, I haven't have one, I haven't been sick for years. My husband got one last year and got sick anyway. But he is sick all the time

that's good netty.getting it in your non-dominate arn is a good thing lol.as a nurse i do believe in flu-shots but when i got married you know , i pushed my beliefs on my husband. yearly physicals, eye x-ams, and flu shots...well he found out he has an enlarged prostate, he needs bi-focals( he never wore glasses), and he got the flu after a flu shot. we just laugh an laugh about this

No and there is no way I will get a flu shot.

If you are ill or very young or very old then it makes sense, otherwise it is nothing more than injecting foreign crap into your body for no reason.

BTW, I have not had the flu although I have never had a flu shot.

I usually get sick a couple of times during the winter months and I mean sick enough to end up in bed and missing work. This will be the 4th year I have gotten the flu shot. I did not get sick at all last winter.

nope . . . i probably won't if i can avoid it! the only times i've ever caught the flu were when i had the vaccine. however, my mother is a nurse, so i'm sure she'll be chasing me with a needle again this year!

I need to get one still. I haven't found out where they will be having them locally though. My doctor doesn't get any flu vaccine, so I tend to go to a drug store that brings in nurses to administer the shots. I think I had to pay $25 last year for mine. I travel for work and I've been getting flu shots for at least ten years and I haven't been sick at all. So to me it's worth it.

No I have not gotten my flu shot, won't get one, every time I had a flu shot I got sick with the flu, I have a better chance of not getting it by not getting hte flu shot than I do, besides I can think of better things to spend 25.00 on than a flu shot and that's what places around here are charging for flu shots.

mooch, it was free for me, so I took advantage of it. chatted with college daughter about it online, she says on campus they will be in Nov and are $20.

Her asthmas is bad enough, that without shot, she can very well end up in hospital with
pneumonia, so she will get the shot.

Not yet, thanks for the reminder. I can't take the risk of getting it this year as my WBC are still somewhat low because of chemo.

I didn't get one yet - last year my boss told me I didn't really need it....but I may this year - I get one for free at the University...

I got mine a couple days ago...they offered them free at work, but i was not feeling well that day and the nurses would not let me have it. I did have a physical at my M.D's office 2 days ago and got it then, and there is no charge for it other than my md co pay of 10 bucks which i would have had to pay anyways. My arm always get a little sore after the shot, but not too bad...My MD insists on us getting the shot!
I don't do the flu shots, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be the one to get the flu every year. DH wants me to get it this, year we will see.
