Perhaps another half cup my dear, you look so pekid
As strains of another year, knead into weary shoulders
Silently fastening to the very air that you breathe
Taking you on journeys where only the edges save dreams
Secured by images of palette held to lofty sky
And if I could read but a single tea leaf, caution sighs
Never do shadows of dawning linger on with the dew
Dustings of variegated madness, haste spending youth
Summertime dons glorious rainbows, gently brushed on hues
Now lost to doctrinaire moments of copy and paste tools
Sounding like your mother as horizons serve up today
And the dissection of clock elements as the mists play
Are turning points mendacious, chipping away the soft spots
Of coy comic flirtations where hopes never seemed to stop
But the harsh revolution left less and less time to play
Even books you once loved to read were sent on holiday
Liberation was a misnomer if broken body passed the test
And from these fault lines a restless conquering quest
Your courage shines like polished armor and it covers me
Like the balm you've carried since springtime's taste of charity
As I softly strum melodies you added to my life

What a declaration of love!

Our goal is to help you further your exposure and to support other gather members.
For me this was inspired by one whom the poet has long loved and and whose love together has grown into something ever so comfortable. So reading it is very soothing as Lisa said. Except for one place where modern technology language was tossed in : "cut and paste." I loved it! Nice way to open my "evening reading" after a long day.
all the years together shared the changes..the changed..
the devotion still shared..

Once again, I see you referring to the writing process taking away your pain. I'm glad you are getting some pain free moments. I hope they continue until the pain is totally gone.
