In today’s economy most of us are consistently exploring ways to save money. Maybe you are driving less, eating in more often, or just wearing layers instead of cranking up the heat. Finding ways to pinch pennies, especially with grocery budgets, has become almost a hobby for some of us. Clipping coupons and discovering the best deals on everyday purchases has become exhilarating!
I’ve learned that it is possible to provide your family with healthy foods on a budget. Shopping frugally, with your family’s health in mind, takes a bit more time and energy than most of us care to exert, but it is doable. I listed some of my favorite budget-friendly tips and foods (like eggs!) in a post I wrote on my main blog, From Dates to Diapers, while working on another program with the American Egg Board last fall. Check it out here.
Two of my favorite bloggers to visit, to find deals when planning my meals, are Tara aka “Deal Seeking Mom” and Alyssa aka “Kingdom First Mom.” Both of these moms have taught me how to save money and stretch our grocery budget. They publish incredible money saving articles and provide links to tons of freebies, coupons and other money saving deals.
There is not a shopping trip that goes by before I stop by to find out what deals the Moms have posted. Most often I discover ways to save significantly during my trip to the grocery store.
