Chandler is getting 3 teeth pulled this morning

I hope things go well. I hope your tooth fairy is cheap. Our tooth fairy brings $5 for each tooth. I couldn't imagine having to drop that kind of money right now with my hubby not having a job.

Ang, for his first tooth he got $5. For every tooth after that it's been $2 or $3 depending on what the tooth fairy had in her purse! LOL!

It will probably be $10 total tonight! :) Just because this is a little more tramatic than just losing a tooth! :)

My son had to have 4 pulled at once when he was little, too. He did just fine. His new teeth were trying to come in sideways and pulling the others really did help. Since he is going in wtiha positive attitude he will probably do just fine, too.

Long story. My son was about 7 or 8 and riding his bike one morning when he hit a bump and fell off. I heard him scream and looked out the door and he was about 3 houses down and just standing there screaming and bleeding. I wasn't dressed yet (9 am) so I yelled for my husband who was in the shower and didn't hear me. I was about to go out when a friend of my sons rode up and went to him, but when he got close he stopped and backed up. My daughter (age 10) went to him but stopped and backed up. I was on the porch and about to go get him when my daughter stepped forward and scooped him up and brought him home. Turned out he had knocked out a lower front tooth and was bleeding all over. OK, really not too bad. Call the dentist who by some miracle was in his office doing paper work, he said bring him over. He takes X-rays and comes out to say "Good news, Bad news". Bad news is I can't replace the tooth. Good news, he knocked out all of the tooth, didn't leave any root behind. Best news, he would have needed at least one tooth removed in the future because he doesn't have enough room for emerging teeth, so we saved the cost of the future extraction! So...I understand what you are talking about with the tooth situation. Good luck to your son and to you!

Glad he has such a positive attitude. Still it is no fun having teeth pulled. Hope he has an easy time of it.

Relax, take a deep breath-mom you will be fine! I would worry more about the "after he is home" Mine always took advantage of me knowing I would feel sorry for them!! LOL!!

Both of my girls have had to have teeth pulled due to the same problem. Chandler will be fine and so will you.

Poor lil' guy, but it passes quick. My youngest had a similar problem with baby teeth. They just wouldn't fall out causing problems with the permanent teeth, and he had to some pulled too. My other two kids didn't have that problem at all... don't know why really.

He'll Do great!!!! I have had many teeth pulled and been to the dentist way to many time to count lol. My mom is a dentist so yes no straws for a little while and i've also found that anything hot! really hurts! so i would stick with like cold and luke warm stuff. He'll get over it soon you just want to make sure that he still brushes his teeth not where the teeth were removed of course but you need to check and make sure that if he ate anything solid that it didnt get packed in there because that wouldnt be good but...other than that he will recover quickly and i hope you have good luck with the rest of your dentistry ! lol

good luck!! my grandson recently had a tooth pulled and it took almost 2 hours to get it out (yeah, I know NOT what you wanted to hear) the one before that went fine

poor guy, but atleast he is looking at is optimistically and looking forward to that tooth fairy visit :)

yea kids are pretty great about things like that. we tend to cringe more than they do. things like this are pretty cool. expecially since getting money is invovled.

awww...poor baby! Hopefully he'll heal in time to eat a ton of goodies for Christmas!

Matthew had to have a tooth pulled a few years ago, too. Watch him closely while he's still numb. Matthew ended up biting the inside of his cheek so badly that he needed stitches! He didn't feel a thing and didn't even have to have a shot to numb him for the stitches!

It sounds like he's in good hands with the orthodontist.

I've been having lots of dental work done lately (will be having six teeth cut out by the oral surgeon on the 13th!), so I'm definately feeling for him!
