Announcing the Incredible Holiday Food Drive - Help Children with Your Points!

This holiday season, do something incredible for families in need from your computer.

Starting December 4th through December 20th, Gather and the Incredible! group, sponsored by the American Egg Board, invite you to donate your points to Share Our Strength®, a national organization working to make sure no kid in America grows up hungry. The American Egg Board will match up to $3,000 of every dollar donated by Gather members!

Gather and the American Egg Board appreciate your generosity so much that they will reward members for donating with a chance to win a raffle prize!

Being incredible by helping America’s hungry children this holiday season is simple. Here’s how it works:

  1. Your points will be donated directly to Share Our Strength® in increments of $5 and $10. You can choose how much you want to donate at Points Redemption Page.
  2. Gather will record all donations made.
  3. For every dollar you donate, you will be entered into a raffle to win either a $25 Target gift card or a $25 Amazon gift card. There will be two winners.
  4. Every time you make a donation, Gather will reward you with 100 Gather Points™.

Once you have donated, please share your stories in the Incredible! group. Tell us why you donated your points and how else you and your family are being incredible by helping others this holiday season.

Note: All donations must be made by December 20th at 11:59PM EST to be eligible for the raffle and Gather Points™.

Great Katie! I was so thrilled to announce this program. I know how generous Gather members are and know that we'll be able to help the children!
Ok, I'm having a problem here....when I go to my earnings page, there doesn't seem to be somewhere for me to make a donation....do I need to cash out and then get a window?
Ok, that didn't work either.

You can click directly on the link in this article above "Gather Points Page" - it should take you to the page where you make the donation (which comes from the Points Redemption Page). Otherwise, you could click on your total points in your My Gather Page and click the "See All Gather Partner Offers Now" and it'll be in the $10 redemption section

It'll ask you to fill out your address and this is to have the receipt mailed to you for your donation.

Let me know if it works!

Ok, I've got it now. I just cashed out Monday so I don't have $10. in my account right now, thought I could do a smaller amount, but I WILL get there at the end of the week when I pump up my earnings a bit.
I like this program very very much. I think it's wonderful. Gather is giving us points/cash for sitting comfortably and 'playing' here, so it's nice to give back a bit.

I think we have to click on the link and fill in the amount and our address, and it will be taken from our Gather accounts. I'm still working on my amount, but hope to get there by today.

Hi Stephanie, I would like to donate all my points, but when I click on the button to donate I keep getting an error message saying an error was made, please click on the back button and try again. Please help because I would really like to make these donations to this hunger drive!

You can also find the donation by clicking on your points on the My Gather page and then looking in the $10 section (you make donations in increments of $10).

Ok, being on cash, I'm still having trouble. If I use the direct link, they want a credit card, there doesn't seem to be anywhere to use my Gather account. If I go to the cash out option, there's no section for me to make a choice other than cash or pay pal. Guess I still need help.

You have to be a points member to donate unfortunately. However, I know everyone will be switching over by the end of the month. Would you want to do so earlier so you can donate?

What do I have to do to switch over. I really didn't want to switch over yet, but oh well, I guess I'll have to work harder to cash out to paypal, that's all.
OK, I sent an e-mail to the support help desk. I'm sure they'll help me make the switch.

Sorry I am not able to help this year, as already provided several boxes of food to Food Share. This was a hard year, as my hours were a lot less at work, then I thought there would be in the late summer. My business hasn't done that well this year also. Happy holidays to everyone.

"Share our Strength" is a wonderful organization that I learned about a few years ago. Having a holiday food drive to help children is something I am very proud to contribute to. Thanks for this opportunity to help in a very critical way.

Great idea. I decided to use all the funds I earned from Gather in 2008 to buy food for the Food Bank and gifts for needy children. It only makes sense. It was fun money. May as well make it fun for someone else. After all, it was fun for me to earn it, fun for me to give it away, fun for them to get the goods!

I have tried and tried to donate from 5 to 10 each and every time for food or money and I keep getting "an error occurred on this page, please press your back button to try again"

Whats Up??

I want to help but can't. Never heard of such a thing. Take it manually if you have to but I don't have the time to waste sitting here doing this darn thing. Sorry.

Finally got to seal the deal. I do believe that trial and error works best on this one. One must join all groups and then try to contribute from that side because from here this post you can not for some unknown reason.
