Was Love Lost by Sherrie Theriault--Book Review

I love poetry, and I'm always on the lookout for new poets. Sherrie Theriault has a unique point of view: lesbian, Jewish, recovering alcoholic, and survivor of childhood abuse. She informs the reader on the first page the poems won't be all sunshine and butterflies, and though some of them describe great joy, there are also some melancholy poems here.

She has the same last name as me so I had to read the review. Sounds like her poems are coming from a unique perspective.

Great review Erin. I have read this book and others by Sherrie Theriault and am always on the lookout for the latest of her works. There is always a unique twirl with words and imagery.
