Interchange
(To the Group Surrealistic Circus-II)
The last time, you took a point to touch the grass,
to smell, like a vintage Chateau Margaux,
to kneel on the bare ground; surprised wind passed.
The grass blended in you, till things interchanged.
You became green, peaceful, glistening with dews.
And the grass wanted to become you, all flesh.
The grass wanted to possess, the ancestral home,
the green entered through the building’s rusty doors,
spread on the broken tiles of the checkered floor.
You were seeking the beats of the dead body,
you had left; with your newly grown roots.

Fantastic imagery, Poddar! Great work! :-)
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Thank you for reading and understanding this.
The connection evolves. Clever, deep, poetic.
This spoke to me of natural rebirth, a cleansing by the earth. But it went deeper than that; I seem to be smelling fresh mown grass as I type this and I haven't a window open. You used your imagery well kemosabe!
I hope to find time to write today.
Where are your feet trodding upon?
Nice
Very nice post....nice
Fantastic imagery in this, Poddar. Well done!
Thanks for posting on Getting to 3000 Together
I love this! Strong imagery!
I felt the speaker recognizing the "need" to touch what may be ever renewable, the greenness of the Earth regenerating. I also felt as though the "greenness" might extend the invitation further; that through the speaker, "It" might further existence.
Fertile exchange? A symbiotic relationship...
Thought provoking second installment woven from the Noetic. The Surreal Circus
Stunning! I get the feeling that the narrator is tracing the tree of life backwards to its roots.
We at The Surreal Circus are honored to have a series of poems devoted to us. You are now featured.
I'd like to know who keeps rating you so low, Poddar. You know that you can turn-off the ratings - I always do.
This, to me, is one of your strongest pieces. Bravo, my friend!
I am not going to turn off the ratings. It shall be there, my dearest friend, to make the troll ashamed. I only value comments. I do.
I understand, Poddar.
It speaks of Gaia. Very centering.
Exotic evolution~
Essential evolution~
Thank you for posting to GutterGirls~
All things are connected. We all flow into each other, becoming one with Gaea. That's lovely Poddar.
nicely done!
Well done Poddar I loved it.
Featured in the Triple Name Club
Mysterious, lovely. Did you mean the heartbeats of the body? This one raises more questions than it answers.....I want to know more.
How are you Alison?
I want to be the grass, always have. Fantastic write, dear one. I love it! This poem will be one that I print and save. I look forward to having an autographed copy of your book someday soon.
I'm sorry, the whole time I was reading this, I was envisioning something else quite adult like. Te he!!
Lovely poem friend.

Nature reclaims all!
I love this, not quite sure I understand it all- but love the flow and the types of words you used ::)
Very nice, thank you for sharing it.
I love the imagery in this one. Wonderful job.
Very interesting imagery.
Today my feet trodded 4 miles around Shelby Lake and through the woods along the shore. Streaker and I also enjoyed a mile swim.
Hmmm very interesting
I found it very interesting Poddar, great writing, and I had my own idea of what the poem was about, but like everyone's above better, like art, I guess.
