Three dogs. One beagle; one cocker spaniel and on beagle/basset hound mix.
I do not have papers on either the beagle or the cocker spaniel. They were both rescues. I found the cocker spaniel in East Detroit and he was skin and bones. He probably had not eaten for awhile. The other two dogs were from shelters. Tiki the beagle was rescued from a puppy mill where she had been used for breeding.
My husband and I are both allergic to cats. We took a series of shots and are mow fine around our cats and dogs.
We have a black Labradoodle, named Puddles.....she's part Black Lab and part Standard Poodle.....we were told that she is a "hypoallergenic" dog, even though nobody in our house has dog allergies!!!!!! She is the most hyper dog going and is busy 24/7....always getting into trouble of some sort! Puddles is almost 2 1/2 yrs. old.
2 Jack Russel Terriers and on Australian Cattle Dog ( Red Heeler) Border Collie cross. But she looks Heeler. I have papers on the J.R.s I prefer working breeds cause they are smarter and I have the time to work with them.
Right now I just have my granddogger who is 3/4 American Bulldog and 1/4 English Bulldog. Bulldogs are usually allergic to beef and soy. So, she eats a special dog food made by Nutro - Natural Choice. It's made with rice, lamb, and other yummy ingredients.
My sister has a Shih Tzu that has all kinds of allergy problems. Shih Tzus are known for their problematic skin, ear infections, etc... His name is Bugsy and he's such a sweet boy, but he's high maintenance.
Long Haired Chihuahas are good for people who have allergies. The long-haired Chihuahua (I pronounce it like it looks. lol) comes from breeding a regular Chihuahua with a Papillon. Regular Chihuahuas are usually tempremental and yappy-snappy, but the Papillons are sweet natured and so cute! So, the long-haired Chihuahuas are sweet natured and very cute! And they are NOT high maintnance dogs.
We have two dogs, both mutts. Rex is a lab-german short hair mix and Abbey is a german shepherd-sharpei mix. Rexey sheds like a lab and eats like one too. He is highly active and loves to hunt. Abbey is more of a guard dog and likes to protect the family by barking. I have allergies, but keep the carpets as clean as possible and the dogs are not allowed in the bedroom.
2 large Collies, and 5 miniature Dachshunds. They are all AKC registered purebreds etc. No real allergies for me with them, though I am allergic to a lot of things. I think I just grew out of it with dogs over the years. Cats can still get me though...
We have a Caripoo (or Cairnoodle); cairn terrier/toy poodle mix. My husband is allergic to birds, dogs, cats... you get the picture. Our Jada even sleeps with us and he has been okay. She does not shed, so no hair left on clothing or furniture. I bathe her more often in winter when she is inside more (with a moisturizing oatmeal shampoo so her skin does not get overdry) which also helps minimize allergic reactions.
I have 2 dogs: they are miniature schnauzures and their names are Conner and Caeser. I do have all kinds of environmental allergies, including to cats and dogs, but this breed is considered one of the hypo-allergenic. I do not have any problems whatsoever with my allergies with them. We got a dog from Craigslist that was being rehomed. We had just lost the dog my husband and I had almost as long as we were together. She was a puppy from the litter of his dog at the time. She was 16. I wanted an older dog, not a puppy. We got a beautiful brown and white cocker spaniel that was 7 years old because the family's new baby was becoming allergic to the dog.
I have a two year old male dog named Sherlock. He is 3/4 Chihuahua and 1/4 Corgi. He is an absolute doll. He is fully grown and only weighs eight pounds. I love mutts, but I do love Chihuahuas as well. And I would love to have a black or yellow labrador.
I have just one dog- he is a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback from Kengali Ridgebacks in Florida. He weighs 96 pounds & turned 3 last November! :)
I don't have any allergies of course, but my ex-boyfriend did when we were together. He was completely allergic to my cats, but he was fine with the dog unless he wrestled & played with him a lot, in which case he would get itchy on his arms/anywhere the skin was exposed.
