this is the sequel to Twilight
Author- Stephanie Meyer
I was glad to have book two in the series already - it was a smooth transition.
This book was much longer and seems to go further afield.
Characters from the first book have a different weight, a different significance in this one. Jacob - the Native American friend - becomes much more of a central character (oddly, he had a stronger role in the movie than in the first book).
There are new threats (many had been foreshadowed in the first book) and more interaction with the entire Cullen family.
Since Bella is growing up, there seems to be less interaction with her mother - relegated to some e-mail correspondence.
The author describes the sense that many young people have of participating in risky behavior to offset feelings of emotional pain - heartbreak.
Again, the descriptions are wonderful - the Pacific Northwest seems to be a good place to visit - I don't think I'd be comfortable with ALL the clouds and rain for a long time, but a visit would work for me.
Information about the story line would include spoilers - something I avoid.

Great review, I will wait to see the movie until I read the book.
