the winding ways quilt - a book review

As I got off the bus the other day, on my way to leave a donation bag at the thrift shop, I saw a double stack of books. One stack was all Agatha Christie (like her, but don't love her); the other stack was books I didn't know. One was this quilting one (by chiviarini). It is one of a series - although I'd not read any of the others, I didn't feel at a loss as this one felt complete.
At first I thought it'd be a light mystery, but it turned out to be chick lit - but with older chicks - many characters are in their 40s and up.
It's sweet and loving. Quilting is VERY important - quilts are named, described, there's family history wrapped up in the quilt making, friends are brought together over quilts.
If quilting is in your blood, look up this series for easy reading.

I'm not a quilter, but I do love to read about quilts and quilting. I'm about to read my first Chiaverini book: The New Year's Quilt.

I have read several of her books and enjoyed each and every one. Not only are the story lines very good, some of the quilting details actually helped me with problems. They also stirred me to attempt some of the patterns mentioned in her books.

My grandmother taught me how to quilt. she passed away last month in a tragic fire. I am finishing a quilt we started together. This might be a pretty good read for me
