Party choice, DNA?

John Alford an associate professor at Rice University in Houston, Texas has found an interesting link between a person's DNA and their political party choice.

An individual who is not startled by a loud noise and does not pay attention to their surroundings are more apt to be liberal, Democrat.

One who is aware of danger and is more likely to be on alert usually chooses a more conservative view, Republican.

When people say, "my party choice is deep in my DNA."  Perhaps they are correct.

This is just inflammatory and rude. Not to mention of course you don't support these allegations with a link to the original article or anything else.
I wish you had a link to this article or to the study, Lionel. This is interesting, and it makes sense.

Hope that provides enough support of the "allegations" for those who like to have it all done for them. Wonder if that's part of this study or another one, Lionel. :)

So calm while on fire = liberal Democrat, paranoid and frightened at the slightest provocation = conservative Republican. Makes sense to me. I'm always cognizant of danger but am not fearful of imagined dangers lurking around every corner and I don't freak out at change which would explain why I'm an Independent. Guess maybe that's why the largest growing segment of the population are centrist Independents. Both the ultra liberals and the ultra conservatives are ill suited to lead.

I wasn't taking sides, just reporting what I read. Jennifer B must be a conservative because she saw danger where there was none. The Houston Chronicle has a site. Look it up. I detailed that in the report, from the Houston Chronicle.

Yes, I love these studies that they do with twins. I had read one a few years ago where they were proving that the social behaviors of twins who had been separated at birth, living in two completely different environments and socialized almost oppositely, still displayed very similar social behavior.

I jump a mile when a loud noise surprises me, but don't pay a lot of attention to my surroundings sometimes. Maybe that's why I consider myself Independent.
