Have You ever sued someone or been sued by someone?
Thankfully to date, I've never had cause to sue anyone or have I been sued by anyone either. Yeti, though, had to sue a man for not paying him for fixing the guy's air conditioner and I think that was it.
But what about you? Do you have any interesting stories you'd be willing to share?

I was sued by an ex land lady who lied through her teeth. My sister fell threw her floor. But she sued my ex husband and I and we had to pay for her freak'n floor. But guess what....court papers stated my ex was suppose to pay half...but instead the freak'n pyscho lady got all from me....pretty sad as it was a large amount.
I sued an insurance company when my sister died.......so did my mom and siblings...it got real harry and took a long time because my sister who died her dad and that side of the family tried like heck to get the insurance money to...they were so nasty in court....plus the dad was threatening my mom if she didn't give him half he would beat her up and crap...things he used to do before he was an ex.....but of course my siblings and I stepped in and told him to screw off ......needless to say in court that whole side hung themselves and got nothing.
I agree with Maurice, for us arbitration was a much better way to go.
I went to court as a child because my parents sued my great uncle for damage I received during a car accident. We were in a 20 car pile up. I'm not sure of all the details...but I remember the Judge was very amused by me as was the rest of the people in the courtroom. Around 2000, I went looking for some court documents I needed and found myself in probate court. I have copies of my estate being settled when I was seven, which was the money awarded to me that day in court to fix the damage to my nose when I was older. It was an interesting thing to find out, and all these years I thought I was alive. Silly me.
Many years later, I got a notice in the mail that we still owed the company money. I called the lawyers office and said that the judge in the case had said we didn't owe anything and I still had the papers (I kept the papers in a bank safety deposit box) to prove it. They looked into it and found I was right.
I've never sued anyone though.
last year I was going to sue the bus company for the public school, after the driver left my son who was having a full seizure fall to the floor and the bus driver didnt pull ove the bus or call 911.. when the driver pulled over to let kids off at their stop a parent went on to the bus, called 911 and got my son help..
The bus driver never got off his fat ass.. He was fired
But I felt sorry for her lying, ugly retarded ass.
