Flammable tap water

Oh my gosh, I just saw this on my Yahoo home page.

A Colorado couple's home includes flammable tap water! They bought the house in August. In the next field is a natural gas outlet. They started noticing odd noises in the water pipes. And asked for suggestions, on how to reduce the noises. From near by neighbors. One suggested that they should have it checked for gas in it.

When they had it checked. They were informed the water contained 6 times the explosive level of gas in it.

They cannot even turn a light on while taking a shower. In fear of the light bulb blowing. Which would cause an explosion. They have been hauling in water ever since.

This is so unreal! Below is the video of the news show. Plus they show the water running, flick of a lighter and flames. This is so very scary. I do hope someone helps this family.

this is not the first time it has happened. It happened a few years back in georgia too.

I've heard of this happening relatively often, especially where you have a deep well or the municipal water supply is also deep wells that are near to a gas field.

That's just insane... and lighting the water.. Ummm... I don't think I'd do that even to show camera's eek!

It is so very scary. I always have shivers when I pass by those places. lol Especially when they are doing one of those releases. That is just the most scariest noises! The huge flames leap up into the air. The first I ever heard this, I thought an airplane was coming down..
I could never live near something like that.

I think it would be time to find a new place to live even temporarily. Static electricity would even make me nervous there. Hope they get it worked out soon.

I have been watching that in the news. Now they are talking about putting a filter on the water llilnes? What good will that do? It will still be in there and still a hazard!

This just isn't fair. Somehow when something like this happens the people should be able to walk away and not be financially ruined. I don't know how, but only that disasters such as this happen and there should be an answer that won't ruin an entire family.
