Question about comments

Here is "A 10 For You!"

With commenting, usually I comment back if I find something someone has posted interesting.

I try to make comments to the people that have commented on my stuff. Commenting twice don't work, I think. One comment - one point.

I always try to comment on everything, but sometimes I'm not sure what to say. I try to return comments on my blogs, but I need to recheck for today.

Do you comment back to groups?

I comment back to the owner of the group but not necessarily everyone who is a member of the group. I will also comment back to friends as much as I can. I think you get points for views. Also I actually read content and leave either a message, or if it is a sensitive subject, I'll just leave my generic response. If I am really trying to help someone get points, I'll refresh my browser so it looks as if I looked at the material twice.

I don't worry about such things much ... Gather is supposed to be fun, y'ask me... not work.

I do try to make a point of going into articles by people who's names I see on my own regularly ...but if I were to start worrying about paying back every comment, it would be no fun at all

I try to comment back everyone who comments me. I also comment quite a bit on 1 person at a time to keep up and well I enjoy it.. I have stopped doing that for some poeple because they just dont comment anything of mine so I just stopped commenting a few people.. but thats gather for ya..I understand some get busy but some I know are on cause I see them commenting away so ya know..

The group commenting as far as I am concerned posting to the group should be enough. They usually give spam commetns anyways.. Like thats really followign the rules..

See thats what gets me too some people have strict rules for their groups.. and expect you to follow or else your booted basically but then they turn around and give copy and paste commetns to people who post their.. Not following Gathers rules.. I geuss they dont see that.. I dunno.. Oh well.. I may have opened a can of worms on that commetn but its true!

I try to comment when I can, but if I have nothing positive to contribute, or at worst, constructive criticism, I tend to say nothing at all. But I'm also way behind in my gather comments too!

I try to keep up with all my friends articles, then images. I comment on almost everything except some of the "heavy" subject material. Some days it's hard to keep up with everyone so I will focus on a few friends and make sure I read everything that they have written and comment back.

I try and comment back to those who comment to me. I also try and comment on my friends stuff. But some days it is really hard. I have to many friends. I do not try and ignore anyone. I do however try and find something I like to comment on to return comments. Other days I just pick a friend and comment on all there stuff. It depends on hwo much time I have to spend on Gather.

I usually comment back when someone has commented on something of mine unless it's a generic group post like thanks for posting to the group. Then I usually don't bother. I don't know if that's what you meant or not, but it's the best answer I have :)

I bounce all over the place with my comments. I do try to comment on everyone who comments on me, but some days that's hard to do. So I try to bounce around and get to what I can. I don't push myself to do more than what's fun for me.

I try to comment on various articles by my connections and really make an effort to respond back to people who left comments on my articles. For me, it is about acknowledging the person and trying to understand where the person is coming from. In some cases, I do't respnd back if I don't feel I have anything constructive to say or just don't have the time.

i try to comment back to anyone who comments on me, then i try to comment on folk who post to my two groups, then folk who don't comment to me, but who write interesting stuff, the i go find new people to read and comment to, all to support my gather site,lol...and perhaps earn a few points along the way. my comment finger stays busy, and i still don't catch them all...but working on it!!

I comment back on every comment I receive. For groups I figure the original post is enough.

I comment as much as time will allow. I get on Gather whenever I have the time and just follow where ever the clicker leads me.

Comment when and wher you can, that's the best anyone can do!

Everyone does it differently. It depends on what you read. It's hard work to get all comments back to the people who comment on your posts, but just as Flit said, don't worry much about it. Gather is fun, not work, and so feel free to comment any way you like. Personally I try to comment on anyone who has commented on my articles. I think that's courteous.

I try to return comments. I got WAY behind this spring and summer as I was so busy outside. However, I've been on vacation this week, so have been trying to do some catch up. I don't do anything with groups. I pretty much don't even post to groups any more.
